Personality
First Appearance
Around 2009, the Paragon Police Department of Kings Row became aware of a new person of interest within the followers of Doctor Demetrios Vasilikos, better known to the city as Doctor Vahzilok. Officers were tipped off when they found zombies with unusual components and modifications, seemingly more tailored than the average stock cybernetic comments. This ranged from cadavers with reinforced bones or muscle fibers to resilience to external damage.
Recent Activity
Following the arrest of Doctor Vahzilok at the Faultline Dam by a task force sent by the Freedom Phalanx member Positron, a major schism occurred amongst the Vahzilok regarding how to progress onward as the Eidolon began to deteriorate: the Planarians, naming themselves after the flat-worms of the order Tricladida who looked towards regenerations as the future, and the Hygeians who, keeping in line with their namesake of the Greek Goddess of Hygiene and Health, sought to augment their immune systems and bodies to produce the perfect entities.
Given recent observations and video evidence, it seems as though Trephine has joined the Hygeian school, displaying the abilities of toxic generation and emission of bio-electric charges due to untold experimentation.
The Solano Case
October 9th, 2002
Only a few months following the tragedy of the first Rikti Invasion, the Steel Canyon division of the Paragon Police Department received a chilling and head-scratching case that has remained unsolved to this day. Gabriella Solano, a twenty-four-year-old recent addition to Paragon City University's medical program, goes missing without a trace from her apartment. No fingerprints or DNA was ever retrieved from the scene of a potential assailant a cup of stale coffee sat cold next to microwave egg rolls. Her roommate was the one to report her after finding her door agape and finding a scene as though someone had been plucked right out of their everyday, no real sign of a struggle, but there were signs of things being searched.
9:30 a.m. -- Gabriella Solano is reported missing by her roommate
9:50 a.m. -- Paragon Police Department arrives on the scene.

Enhanced Physiology - Decades of modification through various experiments and chemical treatments have left the woman known as Trephine changed. This has increased response time to stimuli and increased agility allowing her to move quicker and more fluidly than most non-metahumans.
Slowed Aging - Throughout her tenure as a villain within Paragon City, Trephine does not appear to age very much at all. She seems to have only aged a handful of years over a decade and a half.
- Surgical Knowledge - Like many amongst the ranks of the Vahzilok, Trephine shows a deep knowledge of modern surgical and anatomical knowledge. In another life, she'd have made an excellent surgeon, but in this one, she utilizes these gifts for a morbid purpose.
Weaknesses
- Mortality - Despite all of her augmentation and experimentation, Trephine possesses no unnatural fortitude or impervious skin. She can be hurt, and perhaps even killed, much the same as any civilian if she's not careful.
- Unstable Mutations
- Perfectionism - Both a blessing and a curse, the doctor will go to great lengths to ensure her work is perfect. As a result, even the slightest imperfection in her work will cause her to start from the ground up.
