Appearance
Rampart is an artificial lifeform created by a fusion of fine craftsmanship and powerful magic. Her basic construction is mostly metal armour over a musculature of wood-like material, formed to a simplified human shape. The armour has been painted purple, to match her tattered cape and wig.
Personality
Rampart is, fundamentally, an extremely trusting and friendly person, with an eagerness to learn matched only by her complete lack of the intellect to actually do so. While she may seem surprisingly gentle for a juggernaut with a greatsword, when she feels people are preying on the weak or otherwise threatening those she has chosen to protect she will quickly demonstrate that she is capable and willing to use that power to put an end to it.
History
In mid-2021, fishers off the coast of Paragon City pulled up a net to find tangled in it a humanoid form of metal and wood. Sensing an opportunity, they placed what they thought was a statue up for auction at Wentworth's Consignment, but before the auction could be completed, the statue walked away. Brought in to MAGI for inspection/questioning, she self-identified as Rampart Fortythree, and offered as proof a mostly-destroyed label in what appears to be an elvish script on her left pauldron. The interview determined that she had (or claimed to have) no idea how she wound up in the Atlantic, and seemed unfamiliar with more or less everything she was questioned on. After wandering out of the MAGI office in Paragon City Hall, she registered as a superhero, on the basis that the cape she found in an alley near the auction house had a tag from "ICON HERO SUPPLY" sewn in and she was worried it would be taken away if she didn't.
