Moonrise
Someone tell me they saw that shot.
Moonrise is a workaholic type who doesn't seem to have much of a life outside of hero-ing. He says he used to work for a now-defunct private security company operating in various eastern European states. He seems too young for this to be true, but much about himself is classified to the point that even he isn't at liberty to talk about it. He was assigned to the Homecoming Heroes about a year after arriving in the States and, after proving himself a reliable and trustworthy type, now typically acts as a ridealong to supervise inexperienced heroes. He also occasionally works with the PPD in Kings Row.
Hero stuff
Being an unpowered human, his fighting style is usually to neutralize the threat before it gets close. He's not above turning tail if a situation gets hairy. His hand-to-hand methods are unrefined and appear to have been learned in harsh circumstances. His primary weapon is a long gun so modified that it's hard to tell what it originally was. His rarely-used sidearm is a Smith & Wesson Model 586. Sometimes he has access to gadgets built by a fellow Homecoming Hero, Teslacoil.
The black and white armor he wears on the job is light and maneuverable, and is meant to look more heroic than a completely black getup. Whether that comes across is in the eye of the beholder. His mask prevents the observer from gleaning much about his face.
Personality stuff
Moonrise is standoffish, paranoid, and a bit of a pessimist, but generous and easily amused—as long as you don't touch him or ask too many personal questions. He covers his face even when he's not on the clock. His hobbies include Tetris, fishing, reading, and eavesdropping.
