Jade Stinger
Character Information
History
Cindy Moon is a "skip-generation" legacy hero. She is the daughter of Lily Harris and Johnny Moon, a small-time crook (both deceased), and, unknown to her until recently, the granddaughter of two former heroes of Paragon City.
When Cindy's mother, Lily, was born, her parents (Evelyn Yu, aka Miss Yu, and Bill Mitchell, aka Cooperstown) were told she had died at birth. The newborn baby was then sold to a New Pittsburgh couple, Morgan and Sienna Harris, who raised her as their own. Until the Harrises' passing, neither Lily nor Cindy knew they were related to the Mitchells.
Johnny Moon disappeared shortly after Cindy's birth, leaving her to be raised solely by her mother. Because her mother was frail and often sick, Cindy spent most of her free time from school caring for her.
When her mother passed away, the Mitchells took Cindy to live with them in Paragon City.
Personality
Cindy Moon is a headstrong and resourceful young woman. From an early age, she had to take care of her ailing mother.
She was a loner at school and did not have many friends. She can be blunt and direct to a fault in her interactions with others, but she also values honesty above all else.
Abilities and Equipment
Cindy is a fair gymnast with 20/20 eyesight, a plus in her chosen occupation.
Her grandmother has taught her how to shoot a bow to get the young girl out of her shell. She even bestowed upon her the Chinese longbow that had been in her family for generations.
She wears a specially tailored suit made of Kevlar weave with ceramic inserts to offer protection from projectiles and edged weapons.
"Big Booms"
When Cindy arrived in Paragon City, her grandparents arranged to have her go thru a battery of medical tests to asses her health condition. Since she was still a minor, the results were given to her grandmother privately: Cindy had a dormant meta-gene. The doctor estimated she had a 1 percent chance of any powers activating.
It did activate in the form of lightning bolts that Cindy can call down from above. The process requires Cindy's full concentration and is rather taxing physically. Firing several of those "Big Booms" (as Cindy calls it) in a too short period can lead to exhaustion.
Miscelleanea
For a while, she used "Miss Yu" as her "nom de guerre" before settling on "Jade Stinger."
