Black Rose is a popular South Korean hero who is making a name for herself in Paragon City. There is much speculation she may be a KPOP idol due to her enchanting voice and obvious stunning features (even if her face is behind a mask). She neither confirms nor denies the rumors, further fueling the conversation.
With her superhuman strength, agility and durability, Black Rose can go toe-to-toe against any superhuman opponent. Even with super strength, her combat style emphasizes grace and finesse, highlighting her extensive training in close quarter combat.
BACKGROUND
Early Life
Ji Min Park is the middle child of Sung Ho and Eun Young Park. Sung Ho is a city attorney in Incheon and Eun Young, a former beauty queen, is a stay-at-home mom. They lived a peaceful and uneventful life.
In high school, Ji Min auditioned for a KPOP group and landed a role. With her natural beauty she inherited from her mother and a wonderful voice, she was born to be a KPOP idol. Sadly, her dreams of being a star were shattered as Ji Min realized the scandalous and brutal world of KPOP idols.
Constantly sexually harassed by management and her producers, Ji Min had enough. Unfortunately, like other idols, she was in heavy debt to the music company more than $350,000. Unable to pay the debt, she quit anyway.
Fortune sided with her as KPOP was becoming international. As a former rising KPOP star, she was recruited by a modeling agency overseas in Taiwan and Japan. With lots of sacrifice, hard work and long hours, Ji Min, now also going by Jamie, was able to pay off her enormous debt in four years.
The Rose Blooms
With her debt gone, Ji Min concentrated on her future. At age 19, she was without a high school diploma, so she returned to Korea but continued working as a model in a limited capacity. She eventually passed her high school equivalency test at age 20.
In between, her powers manifest. She became stronger, faster, resilient and durable, often in unexpected and comedic ways. Always conscious of her civic duty, due to her father, she donned a mask and took on the mantle of Black Rose.
Highly popular due to her beauty and charm, Black Rose became a staple of the Korean superhero community. After two years, her fans were saddened to hear she planned to leave Korea and head to Paragon City. But she promised to return often but she wanted to contribute her skills in Paragon City to showcase what Korea could offer. The fans quickly changed heart and cheered her on.
In truth, Ji Min was accepted to Paragon City University, and she wanted to continue her education and have some semblance of a normal life.
Captivating Black Rose
Currently, she is 22 years old and is a freshman at PCU and juggling her studies and modeling. She even performs singing gigs at small local clubs. She still finds time to fight crime as Black Rose. Her schedule is filled, but she still tries to find time for her family and friends.
One such friend and colleague from hero work is Shadow Wolf, another Korean superhero. Rumors abound regarding the type of relationship the two might be having, but nothing has been confirmed.

Ji Min is much taller and full figured than the average Korean woman. She is absolutely stunning, and her beauty and figure instantly got the attention of major Korean entertainment companies to groom her into a KPOP idol.

Kind, sincere and charming, Ji Min can easily light up a room. Add to her natural beauty, she often becomes the center of attention. All of which she dislikes. In truth, she’s a bit of an introvert who would love to sit home with a hot cup of tea and a good book.
