Amanda was a researcher at Cryonix Corporation, when a lab accident occurred with a sample she was working with. Despite feeling fine, her career at Cryonix was cut short by her ability to control the states of molecules caused her to accidentally flash-freeze a critical sample. Not wanting to be viewed with suspicion or revulsion by her peers, she decided not to contest the firing and made her way to Paragon City, where she finished her Medical degree and worked as an Emergency Medical Technician. When danger arrives and people are injured, the EMT uniform will be cast aside and Succour will arrive to save the day and help the wounded.
