POWERS

Energy Manipulation — the ability to manipulate and create energy to form bright pom-poms of light around her fists and a shield across her arm to protect her from harm; also used to make a floating disk for her to fly around on, it's rad.

ABILITIES

Parkour — like most people in the city of Paragon, True grew up learning to get around deftly in a city with varying degrees of urban development; she is adept at parkour and has superior athleticism.

A precocious child, with what seemed like more curiosity than common sense, True Holiday managed to always get herself into trouble as a child. Leaning towards the outrageous and (what is now considered) vintage fashion, she looked like she'd crawled right out of the pages of an 80s teen magazine marketed towards kids who weren't cool but wished they were.

Before she even knew what it was to build one's own style, True had cultivated a look that screamed outrageous; it became her signature. Everything about her was energetic — almost frenetic — with her outbursts; she couldn't sit still, she couldn't be 'normal', she was who she was as hard as she could be and didn't seem to seek forgiveness for that choice. Growing up in Paragon City had its own hurdles, surrounded by super-powered beings who were always causing more mayhem than they'd help, and knowing that you might never get that chance meant that she was a glutton for punishment. She'd follow heroes across rooftops with self-practiced acrobatics and often found herself being bowled over by that path. A teenager who spent most of her time in and out of hospitals built up a level of tolerance in True that she hadn't had before.

That made it all the more fortuitous when her own mutation crashed down and gave her the power to control energy of all types, and she could finally be as bombastic as she'd always wanted while still doing what she could to help. It also led to her meeting Disk and the two of them forming the band Neon Dreams, which also served as their makeshift super group; likeminded people who joined up to be in a band, make awesome music, and save the world. What more could a girl want!

A low-key practitioner of martial arts and parkour, True already had a step up on taking care of herself; she was particularly fond of kicking, finding it felt the most powerful when she jutted her leg straight into the air like P O W and knocked someone on their ass. Still, the sudden onset of her energy manipulation added another level to this.

Now, not only could she wrap her fists in energy like magnificent, glowing pom-poms but also she learned to create a shield out of the same energy, as strong as she wanted it to be and able to protect her in more than one situation. The manipulation of energy was also useful in concealing her identity from detection; a mild form of stealth that works by bending energy around her body and manipulating what is seen from the outside.

Her friend (and probably much more than that) Disk taught her to use the same form that she created for her shield to manifest a disk to fly around on! Totally rad!

The band that she and Disk started — which then formed into their own sort of powered group of adults that fight crime or something — is very important to True. All the time she spends that isn't being a hero is spent helping write songs, recruiting new rotation members, and generally just having fun with their band. Their style is sort of retrosynth with influences like The Protomen, Carpenter Brut, and Gunship they like to think they actually eschew the idea of normal genres and create their own sort of sound. Blending synths, classic instruments like the keytar, and sometimes even a theremin, their actual style is hard to pin down.

Information about their actual super hero work is still in flux, as True has the attention span of a highly anxious chihuahua and that often distracts the other members as well. There's no doubt that they're out there, trying their best.
