Over time, her personality affected his and he became considerably more boisterous. • A few years into his mentorship, the original Signalfire was crippled by her archnemesis, who Kasun himself would later defeat. Golden Age • Kasun took up the mantle of Signalfire during this part of his career, and his rapidly developing powers quickly landed him in the spotlight. • Some time into this part of his career, Signalfire and the villainous Retcon engaged in a knock-down, drag-out brawl across several of Paragon City's boroughs. During this fight, Signalfire was badly wounded due to his steadfast refusal to allow Retcon to harm innocent people, even though it likely would have allowed him to finish the fight sooner. The fight ended when Signalfire, through pure grit and determination, managed to awaken the rest of his power and land a decisive (yet still non-lethal) blow on the supervillain. Smythe is a sinister supervillain whose identity and powers are constantly in flux, never appearing as the same person twice and never with the same powers (aside from Smythe's primary superpower). After releasing Signalfire's secret identity to the world, Retcon disappeared with an ominous warning. • Autodile: The twisted creation of a Nazi scientist, the Autodile is a hyper-intelligent crocodile head built into a nigh-indestructible death machine. • Inkblot & Watercolor: This diabolical duo once trapped Signalfire in the weird world of television, and forced him to fight a gauntlet of the world's most beloved cartoon characters. Some of this footage has been uploaded to YouTube. • Longshot: An aging assassin that Signalfire tangled with in his younger days. The man came out of retirement for a final shot at killing the hero, but quickly gave up after being defeated by Battle Ready Organization. • Shock Jock: The Terror of the Airwaves has been a thorn in Signalfire's side since the 90's. Strangely enough, he only ever seems to target his own fanbase for kidnapping and ransom. • Vainglorious: A man so self-obsessed that he somehow turned himself into a lesser deity. Notes •
