History
According to the limited information regarding her past that the FBSA has available, Amélie Dubois is a mutant of first generation, her parents and siblings having been entirely without powers. She was born and presumably lived with them in St. Martial up until 2005 during which an incident occurred that lead to the passing of everyone in her family but her. Arachnos made an effort to obscure as much information about what exactly happened back then as possible though according to unconfirmed reports, Dubois spent somewhere in between one and three years in Arachnos captivity afterwards before she eventually freed herself. She subsequently more or less disappeared until 2013, having somehow made it to Paragon City where she lived in a small, politically active community comprised exclusively of mutants, before she then reappeared on the Etoile Isles and contacted members of the Legacy Chain and Wyvern, going by her new name Screaming Star and offering her aid in taking down Arachnos. Since then, she's been terrorizing Arachnos operatives at every turn, indiscriminately torturing and killing them, often times leaving little but burned out armor with the symbol of the spider on it crossed out as well as the french phrase "L'étoile crie d'agonie et j'amène le silence." either painted in blood or branded into a nearby surface behind.
Currently
Dubois owns a small record store in Atlas Park that specializes in vinyl, has an apartment there and is doing volunteer work as a counselor for troubled mutant youth. Judging by some of her social media activity and her association with certain known figures, she can be considered a mutant supremacist and is likely using this position to radicalize young mutants. Her apparent hatred for Arachnos hasn't died down one bit, judging by the fact that she now seems to have joined the group known as the Wraith Spiders, primarily comprised of former Arachnos members hell bent on bringing the organisation down.
Powers
Like many mutants she displays enhanced physical attributes. She can run at the speed of an Olympic athlete with relative ease and continue doing so for hours on end, is able to lift about three times her own body weight and has a skin density that allows her to survive small caliber ammunition without taking any substantial damage. Thorough investigation and monitoring by a team of experts in various fields, have lead to the conclusion that her unique mutant power is to forcefully siphon magical energy from the divine realm and freely control it. She does this instinctively. There is no spell casting involved in the process. When she draws upon more than just a negligible amount of this energy, she will temporarily have a golden halo floating above her head. As is the case with many more conventional users of divine magic, it usually manifests in the form of bright, golden fire and lightning. Due to the lack of any scientific testing being conducted in regards to the limits of her powers, Dubois is to be considered at least an Alpha level mutant.
The so far observed capabilities of her powers include:
-Destroying an entire warehouse in an explosion
-Electrocuting an entire squad of Wolf Spiders at once
-Fully healing a Wyvern member that had been shot in the chest multiple times
-Creating a large, dome-like, bullet deflecting shield
-Spontaneously teleporting herself from St. Martial to Port Oakes
-Teleporting a fleeing Wolf Spider towards herself
-Breaking a Wolf Spider's neck with seemingly no effort, using her bare hands
-Shooting a 60 x 60 inch hole through a 2 inch thick steel wall using a beam of focused light
-Flying at 58 mph
-Running at 38 mph
-Shrugging off several shots from a 9mm pistol
-Lifting a dead Crab Spider in full armor and carrying them around
