Born in 1953, Dino Spatelli was a mechanic and biker who spent practically every waking moment with a wrench in his hand. When he wasn’t tuning in the garage, he was out drag racing for money. One night, just before a race, a freak thunderstorm appeared seemingly out of nowhere. Dino and his motorcycle were struck by lightning before he could reach the finish line. He veered off the road and crashed into a barricade. Though he was thrown over fifty yards from his bike, Dino was shocked to discover he was unscathed! Not only that but somehow he could move at superhuman speeds as well. Though he initially tried to keep out of trouble and go back to his ordinary life, Dino couldn’t just sit by and watch when greasers moved in and tried to take over his town. He began wearing a domino mask and stopping injustice whenever and wherever he witnessed it. He became known as The Rockabilly Racer after he single-handedly rounded up an entire gang of greasers hassling the auto shop he worked at. He'd become a bonafide local hero.

He continued his career as a superhero, taking crime head on. From gang bosses, to corrupt politicians, and other lowlifes. It didn’t matter. The Rockabilly Racer had no intention of ever slowing down. Decades passed and dozens of action packed adventures later, Dino was still at it. Only now, he was acting as more of a mentor and guide to younger heroes instead. But, like everyone, The Rockabilly Racer eventually met his end, dying in battle during an alien invasion. He was buried next to his family home in Rhode Island.

Ten years later, a sorcerer named Karver Row dug up Dino's body and performed a dark ritual, resurrecting Dino as a mindless zombie, controlling him to do his bidding and kill his enemies. Unfortunately for Row, once he finished with his rivals and commanded the resurrected Dino to kill innocents, Dino's spirit was too strong. A remaining portion of the spirit of the man he once was enabled the revenant to resist his master despite the ritual and Dino killed him.

Now, a revenant without a master, Dino roams the earth, still helping out those who can't help themselves, only with a little lot more gusto.

Before Dino died, he possessed a host of abilities including superhuman speed, fire creation and manipulation, an enhanced healing factor, and immortality. After being reanimated, Dino seems to have retained these abilities and gained a few more.

Superhuman Attributes: As Rundead, Dino possesses superhuman strength and durability. He is strong enough to lift up to ten tons. withstanding great impact forces, temperature and pressure extremes, powerful energy blasts, and falls from great heights without sustaining injury. Dino's body is for all intents immune to physical injury, as he is not able to feel pain and is able to survive with no apparent discomfort no matter how severe the injury.

Superhuman Speed: Dino is capable of reaching supersonic speeds between Mach 4 and Mach 5. Before he died, Dino was only able to run at most for four hours but after his resurrection, he possesses a seemingly limitless level of stamina, allowing him to run for however long he likes.

Hellfire Manipulation: Rundead is able to create and manipulate hellfire, an ethereal and supernatural flame that scorches and purifies the souls of sinful, and can also cauterize their physical body. He is also able to absorb and manipulate mundane fire as well, though he cannot generate it.
