A gardener. She gardens.
That is, she can't help but grow flowers. Sometimes on her person.
She radiates warmth like the sun and photosynthesizes like nobodies business.
There are green spots on her face, shoulders, back and hands that look, smell and feel like plant cellulose. ...so does her hair, sometimes.

Vance and Anne Lance met by chance. A fireman by trade, mutant by birth, Vance had a natural ability to control flames and his body resist their damage. After a particularly grueling shift, Vance left the firehouse and decided to get a drink at a nearby pub with a few of the guys. It just happened to be the third shift Anne ever worked at The Grumpy Horn.
Tuesday evenings were usually slow, so when Anne got the quad of admittedly good looking firemen at the bar, she was thrilled. More so when none of them turned out to be creepy, and also tipped very well. As the evening died down, the designated driver took the other two of his friends home and Vance hung around drinking coffee and talking to the cute bartender.
He offered to walk her home, she refused, but told him to try again another night. With a wink, he said he'd be back. It took a month's worth of bar tabs to get her to agree. Two years later they were married and expecting.
They were only partially surprised when their daughter was born a mutant. Vance carried the genes, afterall.

- Amy - Much more outgoing and bold than Eva considers herself, and a dog person, at that, Eva loves Amy to pieces. After a super awkward proposal, the two are planning a wedding. She often finds herself sprouting flowers around her.
