Origins

Early life

Kyle Anthony Ward was born on February 19, 1997 to Martin and Eva Ward in the Lincoln Park neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. Ward enjoyed a stable childhood, living in the same condominium for his entire youth, and attended the Latin School of Chicago where he developed an interest in architecture. He enrolled at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. Prodigious and ambitious, Ward found the story of Robert Moses's rise to power and impact on New York immensely fascinating, and desired at one point to become "the Robert Moses of transit." He would complete his degree in just three years, returning to Chicago to pursue employment as a structural engineer.
