Personality

Hyper Drive appears to be a lazy person, but gives off the vibe of "Don't Fuck With Me", however he does take his job(s) seriously. He is incredibly strong, durable and fast. But no one has seen him go all out, and fights that happen in his vicinity are usually settled in seconds, with him either sitting on the pile of bodies with his heavy weapon in his right hand resting against his shoulder (for his hero work) as for his bouncer jobs his weapon/s are usually placed above him where he's posted, the owner and bartender are told if they ask about the weapon to just inform patrons that it's just ornamental and "For show". Hyper Drive usually gives off a very uninterested and little caring attitude but if a patron/villain happens to do something that would disturb the peace, his facial expression won't change but the vibe will change to that which is mentioned above.

Description

Hyper Drive, the Lord of War

Before he was Hyper Drive, he was just Jalen Cross—a bouncer working long nights in the neon-lit chaos of Neo-Luxor’s underbelly. Violence was routine, but Jalen never sought it; it just had a way of finding him. Then came the night that changed everything—a cyber-augmented gang stormed his club, armed with military-grade tech. Jalen moved faster than humanly possible, adapting mid-fight, his instincts sharpening with each blow. By the end of the night, the gang was in ruins, and Neo-Luxor whispered a new name: Hyper Drive.

His legend grew fast. The Golden Giza, the city’s most famous casino, hired him as their chief enforcer. Under his watch, no one dared start trouble—the mere sight of him at the door sent high-rollers and hustlers alike into line. He didn’t need to brag; his silence, his stare, and the faint hum of his weapon said enough.

That weapon—a massive ion-forged greatsword—was unlike anything the city had seen. He wielded it with impossible grace, as if the blade was part of his soul. Every fight ended before it began. No opponent lasted longer than a few seconds. Word spread beyond the city, and mercenaries, assassins, even superpowered enforcers came to test him. They all fell. That’s when the underground began calling him “The Lord of War.”

But invincibility breeds arrogance. Hyper Drive began pushing himself further, taking contracts that bordered on suicidal just to feel something—anything. He adapted to every element, every power, every weapon thrown his way. Even gods started to whisper of him—a mortal too close to their domain. His power had grown so vast that reality itself seemed to bend around him in combat.

So, the gods intervened. They deemed him a threat to cosmic balance and struck him down—not with death, but with limitation. They split his power in half, sealing away the rest beyond mortal reach. For the first time, Hyper Drive bled. For the first time, he struggled.

Now, he walks the line between man and myth, still guarding the Golden Giza, still taking side jobs as a hero for hire. But behind his cold stare lies a restless hunger. He doesn’t fight for money or fame anymore—he fights to feel the impossible again. To earn back what was taken. To face something that can finally make the “Lord of War” feel alive. In the neon depths of Neo-Luxor, one name carries more weight than law itself. Hyper Drive. Once a nameless bouncer guarding the city’s roughest doors, he rose through violence and chaos to become a living weapon. At the Golden Giza—the empire of fortune and sin—he stands as its silent guardian, a mountain of resolve wrapped in muscle and menace. One look from him is enough to end most fights before they start.

But when the fists do fly, his true legend begins. With a blade forged from ionized steel and instinct sharper than steel itself, Hyper Drive cuts through every challenger with terrifying ease. He doesn’t fight to win—he fights to adapt, to evolve. Every move, every strike, becomes data, fuel for something greater.

They called him the Lord of War, a title earned not from conquest, but from inevitability—because in battle, he never loses. Not until the gods themselves took notice. His growing might began to tip the scales of fate, and so the divine intervened. They didn’t kill him. They feared him too much for that. Instead, they halved his strength, binding his full potential beyond mortal reach.

Now, even at half his power, Hyper Drive remains untouchable—a warrior for hire, protector of the Golden Giza, and the last man anyone wants to cross. Yet deep down, beneath the cold glare and steel calm, burns a single truth: he craves the challenge that was stolen from him. The day something—or someone—can make him fight like he did before the fall.

Because when that day comes... the Lord of War will rise again.
