Known Associates: ???

Historical Notes

Known Abilities, Skills, and Powers

  • He has an extensive knowledge of magic, which he uses so frequently that one must wonder what his power source is.
  • Rather than use his illusions in battle, Babylon Cat uses this to supplement his verbal communication. Considering the 'curse' he appears to be laboring under, this may be necessary for him to be understood. If apprehended after a crime, it may be necessary to make allowances for this, as otherwise, he is completely useless as an informant.
  • He has been observed creating weather-related phenomena - sometimes, even indoors. Lightning, rain, even clouds - while this can be confused for one of his illusions, the damage it does to the building is a tell-tale sign that it is real.
  • He has also been observed growing flora, and this healing ability extends so far as to regrow human tissue. There are multiple reports of him helping Paragon City's heros in this way, despite his criminal nature.
  • He is capable of flight, and is nearly always hovering above the ground.
  • Something of an escape artist, even in the absence of magic.

Known Weaknesses

  • He may be operating under some sort of curse that prevents him from talking directly, as he will not speak clearly under any amount of duress. His speech is laden with metaphor, though at times it can sound as if he has simply memorized a thesaurus, and is replacing the easy-to-understand parts of his speech with similar words. This 'curse' appears to extend to any text he produces.
  • As frustrated as others are with his inability to communicate clearly, he is equally frustrated with being misunderstood. Babylon Cat begins to show visible frustration when asked to repeat himself in a more understandable way, growing more and more verbose, until finally giving up and falling silent.
  • He does not react well to aggression. He becomes less understandable, not more, when threatened. His distaste for aggression is such that he avoids the more violent criminals, even when crime necessitates some violence to accomplish his goals.
  • An item with anti-magic properties renders him unable to fight. He is entirely dependent on magic.

Psychological Profile

  • While Babylon Cat appears to avoid killing, he is not above theft. Reports of petty theft often follow a failed attempt at employment. This cycle has repeated so often that we've come to expect it.
