Overview

Allysa is the chosen Incarnate of the Egyptian goddess Bast , granting her heightened senses (smell, sight, hearing) extraordinary agility, remarkable recouprative powers, and nearly precognitive reflexes.

Backstory

Early Life

Allysa was born the daughter of the 90's Kings Row crimefighting duo of Dark Crusade and the Alley Cat. She along with her elder brother Dean grew up surrounded by heric guests eager to tell tales of the good old days or how best to corner a fleeing felon over the family dinner table. Growing up in such a way it was no great surprise that they would one day become heroes themselves.

Family life took a darker turn when during the second Rikti invasion their father vanished, presumably a victim of the alien attack. Now a single parent Allysa's mother retired from costumed hero work and dedicated herself to putting criminals behind bars through the legal system, becoming one of King's Rows most dedicated district attorneys.

The visits and stories became less frequent but the seeds had already been planted and by the time her brother turned 18 he had registered with the FBSA to take over his fathers legacy as the second Dark Crusade.

Seeing this, Allysa still being in junior high school did not hesitate to take needle and thread to one of her mothers old costumes, as well as stealing her mothers bladed claws to become the new (unlicensed vigilante) Alley Cat.

It took only a week for her brother to find this out and immediately rat her out to their mother, who promptly used the nuclear option of taking back the costume and claws and instituted a grounding due to end sometime in 2056.

Two shouting matches, four slammed doors, and six weeks of persistent begging later the family reached a consensus whereby Allysa would be allowed to obtain a provincial heroes license allowing her to do hero work when accompanied by an adult licensed hero, in this case her brother.

Fearing Allysa's recklessness might tarnish her mothers heroic legacy Dean convinced Allysa to take a different heroic name of her own. After careful thought Allysa decided apon an homage to her mother and registered under the name Persian Sable.

Becoming a Hero

Years passed and with her brothers help Persian Sable became instrumental in her brothers fight against crime. By the time she had nearly graduated high-school she had become the well known sidekick of Dark Crusade, a fact that began to gnaw at her. She had become a more that competent fighter and hero in her own right but she would always be the junior partner or sidekick to Crusade, so when Allysa finally turned 18 she was able to register fully as a hero on her own. Wanting to prove herself more than a sidekick she made the erroneous decision to track down and arrest a criminal that had long eluded her brothers grasp, Belladonna Nightshade. Had she done her proper research, Allysa would have discovered that in addition to being ranked among the top 1% hand to hand fighters on Earth, that Belladonna Nightshade also possessed a poison paralyzing touch. The humiliating defeat she suffered that day (the events of which she intends to take to the grave) as well as the taunting remarks of being "only a kid" and "Just a sidekick to a real hero" caused Allysa to rethink many aspects of her existence.

In the end she decided that to be taken seriously in her career, she would have to distance herself from her brother and her mothers circle of connections and truly be her own woman. Reinventing herself as the hero Alley Cat II she now seeks to prove that she has what it takes in the hero game just like her brother and her parents before her.

Joining The Protectors League

Alley eventually joined The Protectors League when she realized she could do more good as a member of a full team of heroes.
