Luke Pritchard is a Welsh-American warlock specializing in occult medicine and blood magic.

Background

Early life and education

Luke is the only child of Samantha Clarkson and Lewis Pritchard. Luke grew up in the Upper Gwynedd Township of Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. Luke's father was a physician, bestowing upon young Luke an early appreciation for the medical vocation. Luke's mother was an FBSA enrollment agent, specializing in registering new heroes into the government network of volunteer crime-fighters.

Luke's undergraduate education, medical school, residency path, and physician fellowship program all focused on the fields of hematology and hematopathology.

Medical career

Luke was convicted in 2002 of multiple crimes relating to the study, treatment, and attempted occult resurrection of Jane-Mallory Foster, a MAGI researcher afflicted with an unknown bloodborne illness. Luke's criminal conviction resulted in the revocation of his medical license and a twenty-year sentence in the Ziggurat, a prison for super-powered individuals. Luke served less than a year of his original sentence, however, having been released on a special parole program issued by the FBSA. The conditions of his parole denies reinstatement of his medical license and subjects him to the supervision and oversight of MAGI.

Occult career

Compelled by his existing contracts with otherworldly patrons, Luke sought to evade his parole and obtain clandestine passage to the Etoile Islands.
