Pillbug

Owen was born in Skyway City in Paragon City and raised by his two loving parents. They owned a florist shop in the neighborhood where he and his siblings had a wholesome childhood throughout their adolescence. He often helped his parents out as a cashier to keep lessen the stresses that they tend to deal with. Owen was an outcast, often treated as such for his personal interests such as; researching insects. Finding them fascinating for their abilities and what they can do, they usually love learning more about their capabilities and how they function physiologically. He's proven to be a genius in applied science and entomology without any significant issues. Until his family was met with harassment from local gangs such as The Hellions. Constantly heckling other innocent people of the neighborhood until they decided to go further by attacking his family's flower store, unable to do anything as Owen did try his best to intervene to stop them but was utterly humiliated by them and helplessly watch their damage before bailing out.

This resulted in his family in grief and fear that they were under attack for no reason, left Owen in such a state of sadness that, despite his intention, he was powerless to do anything, as he watched his family rebuild their store and wondered where other heroes were when they needed them the most as his neighborhood was in much trouble. Owen decided to no longer feel as such as he began to extensively focus on his goal, giving himself superpowers. Owen spent time brainstorming ideas for what he could invent, which clicked him through the form of a pill and extracting an insect's DNA through chemistry in his basement. With the use of his small chem lab and terrarium of insects. He began to actively research for at least eight months before he finally decided to test himself, the discovery of being granted bug-based abilities was fascinating, to say the least, for just about an hour at a time of course. With his invention being crafted and his family was able to restore their shop to what it once was. The Hellions decided to heckle again, this time unexpectedly, as a sudden masked hero showed up.

With the use of his abilities, he took them down hard as they cowered away with one begging for mercy. Ever since he managed to save his family without feeling helpless anymore, He decided to become a vigilante knowing that most heroes are either busy with otherworldly stuff or feel that no one else spends the time protecting the little guys like him, so he decided to make sure that there is a hero to the neighborhood to feel safe and protected as Pillbug. He kept protecting Skyway City for years and other places in Paragon City while juggling the two lives that he has now with has proven to be difficult at times as he tries to roll with what life throws at him. He often is a reluctant loner who often prefers taking care of things by himself through a bit of distrust with other big league heroes.
