Overview
- "When her fire rises, shadows dance to her will. Her flames are not chaos - they're command." Selene Maren wasn't born with fire - she earned it.
History
- A faculty researcher at Paragon University's School of Thaumaturgy, Selene specialized in ritual-based magic from the First Age of Cimerora. Her team unearthed a half-burned scroll that described The Ember Rite - a lost ceremony said to bind the essence of flame to a mortal soul, granting them control over the "Primordial Flame," the spark from which all life - and destruction - began.
- But the rite was incomplete.
- And Selene performed it anyway.
- When the spell was cast, she didn't just summon fire - she merged with it. The explosion leveled the lab. Two of her colleagues were injured. And when the smoke cleared, Selene stood in the center of a perfect circle of ash - her body burning with magic that did not consume her.
Powers & Abilities
Fire Blast- She calls forth the fire within her to hurl powerful fireballs at her prey, or rain down burning cinders.
Fire Manipulation- At her command, her conflagration surrounds her foe, trapping them in the flesh scalding field of her flames.
Flight- She flies on the super heated air she creates.
Combat Style
- She can fight at range and in melee, with a host of powers and abilities, including the flames that come to life on her body when she enters combat. She has started to learn mixed martial arts styles - Brazillian Jiujitsu and Muay Thai - for strength, flexibility, and battle prowess.
Magical Traits
- She is a skilled Thaumaturge specialized in rite and rituals. She is also adept in alchemy, potions, and hearth wisdom. Since becoming one with the flames, she as become a magical creature.
