Marcus Jones was born in Detroit, MI to Kevin and Serenity Jones in 1985. Growing up on the mean streets of Detroit was hard on Marcus, but the guidance from his parents kept him out of trouble, especially the teachings from his father. His father being a Detroit police officer, he taught Marcus right from wrong and how to resist the pull of the streets. When Marcus was 17, he had to experience the worst possible thing life could throw at him...the death of his father, who was murdered while on duty. His father's death really took a toll on Marcus and he found it harder and harder to keep himself from falling into a downward spiral. Marcus had to sit back and watch his mother struggle to take care of him and his little sister while at the same time dealing with the local gang life tugging at him. It was during this time in his life that Marcus made a promise not only to himself, but to his family that no matter what, he would not fall and to keep himself occupied, Marcus enlisted in the army not only to distract him self but to have a chance to make a difference in his life.

During his time serving, the "supe" population was increasing and the world itself had entered a new age, but one had to wonder what happens when a "supe" wasn't around. That's when the Maxis Corporation, headed by Timothy Maxis, revealed their Alpha Project...a program designed to create a enhanced frontline soldier to deal with threats when a "supe" wasn't around. Under contract by the U.S. government, the Alpha Project was approved with various volunteers from the army signing up. Marcus Jones took this opportunity, hoping to gain the ability to make a bigger difference than he already was. Using a Gene-Tailoring Pod developed by Maxis lead scientist, Dr. Emil Langstrom, the volunteers would be bombarded with Alpha particles thus allowing their DNA to be manipulated by the pod. Out of the hundred volunteers only a few would be considered successful, Marcus being one of the first, gained enhanced strength and agility. This outcome coupled with his military training made Marcus the perfect frontline soldier and with that Maxis decided to give him the codename US Guardian, the first Alpha Soldier.

IMPERVIUM THREADED BODY SUIT: US Guardian's uniform is made from a unique Impervium threaded mesh-like material, designed by the scientist at Maxis. His uniform is resistant to knife and ballistic damage, making US Guardian pretty difficult to hurt or incapacitate. The uniform also incorporates a high-tech blast resistant stretch fabric, giving it more durability in situation where US Guardian has to be more "flexible"

IMPERVIUM SHIELD: His shield, a concave disk 2.5 feet in diameter, weighing 12 pounds, is made of a unique Impervium alloy that has great aerodynamic properties. It is able to slice through the air with minimal wind resistance and deflection of path. Its great overall resilience, combined with its natural concentric stiffness, enables it to rebound from objects with minimal loss of angular momentum. It is virtually indestructible and is resistant to penetration, temperature extremes, and the entire electromagnetic spectrum of radiation. The only way it can be damaged in any way is by tampering with its molecular bonding.

MAXIS CORP COMMUNICATOR BELT: His belt has a micro communication device within it, allowing for streamed contact between US Guardian and Maxis headquarters. The belt is made of the same material as the body suit and can be used in less traditional ways, such as being a makeshift zip line.

SUPER STRENGTH: While not superhuman, US Guardian is as strong as a human being can be. He can lift (press) a maximum of 800 pounds with supreme effort.

ENHANCED ABILITIES: US Guardian has agility, strength, speed, endurance, and reaction time superior to any Olympic athlete who ever competed. The Alpha Particles flowing through is body has enhanced all of his bodily functions to the peak of human efficiency. Notably, his body eliminates the excessive build-up of fatigue-producing poisons in his muscles, granting him phenomenal endurance.

COMBAT TRAINING: US Guardian is a thoroughly seasoned veteran in multiple forms of unarmed combat and has mastered the martial art of American-style boxing and judo, and has combined these disciplines with his own unique hand-to-hand style of combat. He engages in a daily regimen of rigorous exercise (including aerobics, weight lifting, gymnastics, and simulated combat) to keep himself in peek condition

MAXIS CORPORATION: Maxis Corp is a company that was originally founded during WW2 by Howard Maxis, during that time the company was hired by the U.S. and its allies to give them some sort of edge over the enemy. Maxis had been working on an experimental process that could give a normal person enhanced abilities, but that project known as Project Omega, produced some unstable results. So the project was shutdown for years until Howards great grandson Timothy Maxis revived the project in 2015 and dubbed it The Alpha Project. With modern technology and highly skilled scientist, the project was tuned and refined thus allowing the creation of the first Alpha Soldier US Guardian. Since US Guardian is technically an agent for Maxis, he has to report any missions not assigned by the company to the Board so that he can be monitored in case something goes wrong.

GLOBAL DEFENSE FORCE: The Global Defense Force is a collective of heroes partnered with the United Nations. The GDF have on mission, to protect the world from any foes that seek to do it harm. When US Guardian joined the GDF it was under the advice of the Board at Maxis, they felt that US Guardian had been tailored for solo missions and that joining a team would help hone his teamwork skills. They chose the GDF because it was already partnered with the United Nations and thus opened up an avenue for global exposure of their company.

Supa Trolls are what every Troll desires to be...pure incarnations of bestial fury. Through the abuse of Superdine, a modified version of soldier enhancement formulas developed by the US Army during World War II, Supa Trolls are able to reach peak physical performance and insane strength. Usually this comes at a cost of the Trolls mental ability, but Joey Gunz was different, due to a dormant mutation Joey was born with, which allowed him all the benefits of the Supadine and none of the negative side effects. Now Joey works as muscle for hire for various different crime organizations and guarantees that whatever hero decides to get in his way will be sorry they did.

First hero Joey has ever come across was the young teen hero Earthguard, who is almost as strong as Joey. Although Earthguard may have picked up the win on that day, he definitely received a beaten that made him question his hero life. Recently Joey has run into the hero US Guardian while working for The Council, Joey admits that US Guardian put up a better fight than "that earth kid" but in the end Joey fell short due to what he calls incompetent Council goons. Before Joey was taken to the Zigg, he promised US Guardian that they weren't done.
