HISTORY

Early Life

Daniel and Jennifer Ryder, an ordinary couple just like the thousands of other families in Paragon City. Daniel worked as an engineer, while Jennifer was a stay-at-home mom who loved to read and garden. They had dreamed of starting a family for years, and when they finally welcomed their first child, a baby boy they named him Jack, they knew something was special about their bundle of joy.

As Jack grew older, he showed a natural inclination for speed and agility. He was always running around the house, climbing trees, and pushing himself to go faster and higher. Daniel and Jennifer watched with pride as their son developed his skills, encouraging him to pursue his interests and try new things. As Jack entered his teenage years, however, he began to feel restless and uncertain. He felt like he was meant for something more, something greater than the ordinary life he was living...DRAG RACING!

As he grew older, Jack became more and more passionate about drag racing, spending hours tinkering with engines and fine-tuning his techniques. He loved the challenge of going head-to-head with other drivers, pushing himself to the limit and testing his skills and abilities. For Jack, drag racing was more than just a hobby - it was a way of life. He lived and breathed the sport, always seeking out new challenges and pushing himself to be the best he could be. He loved the sense of camaraderie and competition that came with the racing community, and he was always eager to trade tips and techniques with his fellow drivers. And even when he wasn't racing, he loved nothing more than working on his bike or watching other drivers compete, always looking for new ways to improve his skills and techniques...For Jack, drag racing was a true passion, a part of his life that he cherished and nurtured with all his heart.

Second Chance

Everything changed for Jack when he was diagnosed with a life-threatening brain tumor that was growing with alarming speed. He was given only a few months to live, and he was devastated at the thought of leaving his loved ones behind. This sent Jack into a downward spiral and suddenly it felt like his time on this earth meant nothing, and Jack entered a state of depression, distancing himself from the very people he was scared of leaving. Not even the thrill of drag racing could bring Jack back from this one. Then one day Jack's sister and brother-in-law came over to check on him and during that moment, Jack's nephew asked his uncle why he was so sad and he told his uncle that everything would be okay. And it was in that moment, that Jack realized that if a child could continue to have hope then he could too and because of his nephew Jack gained a newfound determination to live, not just for himself but for those that cared for him.

Determined to do whatever it took to stay alive, Jack began experimenting with alternative medicines and procedures that could help him beat the odds. That's when he met Dr. Joseph White, a brilliant scientist who was working on a special procedure using Alpha particles. Dr. White used a special gene-tailoring pod to bombard Jack with Alpha particles, and the results were astonishing. After hours of being inside of the pod not only did Jack make a full recovery, but he also discovered that the procedure had activated a latent mutant gene that had been hidden since birth, giving him extraordinary powers of speed and agility. Dr. White ran multiple test and concluded that this gene that had been awakened allowed Jack to tap into a powerful energy field that surrounds him, giving Jack his amazing abilities, he dubbed this energy field The Velocity Nexus.

Jack realized that not only did he have a second chance at life, but he had a chance to use his newfound abilities for good, to help those that can't help themselves. With the help of Dr. White, Jack designed a costume and became the superhero known as Speed Titan, the fastest and most agile hero in Paragon City. He used his incredible powers to fight back against the city's many threats and protect the innocent, never forgetting the second chance at life that he had been given. With his incredible speed, quick reflexes, and unparalleled agility, Speed Titan has become a legend in Paragon City, a hero who inspires hope and stands for justice in the face of danger. He knows that every moment of his life is a gift, and he intends to use that gift to make a positive difference in the world.

The Velocity Nexus

The Velocity Nexus is a powerful and dangerous energy field that imbues Speed Titan with incredible speed and agility. When he taps into the Nexus, he becomes a blur of lightning-fast motion, able to run circles around his enemies and dodge any obstacle in his path.

But the Nexus is more than just a boost to his speed. It also enhances Speed Titan's perception and awareness, allowing him to see the world around him in slow motion and react to danger with lightning-fast reflexes. With this power, he can out-maneuver his opponents and anticipate their every move.

But the Velocity Nexus is more than just a helpful tool for Speed Titan. It is a volatile and unpredictable force that must be used with great care and skill. If Speed Titan pushes the Nexus too far, he risks losing control and becoming a destabilizing force in the city. His powers can become erratic and unpredictable, making him a liability to himself and others.

Superspeed

Speed Titan is able to run at speeds that exceed the sound barrier, which is roughly 767 miles per hour or 1,235 kilometers per hour. This means that he can move faster than the average commercial airplane, making him an extremely fast and agile hero who can outmaneuver just about any opponent. He can also move so quickly that he is often able to create sonic booms, creating powerful shockwaves that can knock enemies off their feet and leave them disoriented.

Lightning Reflexes

By tapping into the power of the Velocity Nexus, Speed Titan's reflexes are so fast and precise that he's able to dodge attacks with ease, anticipating his enemies' moves and landing precise counterattacks. Also thanks to his strong leg muscles, he is able to deliver powerful kicks which makes him even more of an effective combatant against hardier foes.

Energy Shield

Speed Titan's electric armor is powered by the Velocity Nexus, providing him with an impenetrable shield that can absorb even the most powerful attacks.

Friends Blue Sol : Blue Sol is an older hero in Paragon City that has become somewhat of a father figure for Speed Titan. Half angel half human, Blue Sol has lived a long life and in turn is very knowledgeable when it comes to learning life's lessons, its one of the reason Speed Titan holds a great deal of respect for "Big Blue" Sophie Stardust: Speed Titan sparked up a conversation with Sophie under Atlas one day and ever since then that has been their meeting point. Most of the time after a long day the two would meet there just to tell each other about how their day went. Electrogizer Bunny: Speed Titan considers EB a good friend and probably the closest thing he'll ever have to a sister. The two are always throwing jabs at each other, him teasing her for having a crush on the hero Hyperion Shield and her trying to match him with various female heroes

Associates Dr. Joseph White: Dr. White is the scientist responsible for the existence of Speed Titan, without his procedure there would be no Speed Titan. Dr. White mostly sits back in his lab helping Speed Titan from the background and studying the Velocity Nexus

Enemies Mach Rush : Dr. Victor Darrow was once a brilliant scientist working in the shadows of the Council. Fueled by envy and a desire for power, he became obsessed with harnessing the Velocity Nexus for his own nefarious purposes. After studying the data stolen from Speed Titan's rescue mission, Dr. Darrow became convinced that he could recreate the Velocity Nexus and wield its incredible speed for his personal gain. Driven by his ambition, Dr. Darrow delved deep into forbidden experiments, combining his scientific knowledge with the stolen data. He succeeded in creating a prototype device known as the Velocity Matrix, which tapped into an unstable variation of the Velocity Nexus. In an unfortunate accident during one of his experiments, Dr. Darrow became the first test subject for the Velocity Matrix. The device overloaded, corrupting his DNA and granting him speed-based abilities. However, unlike Speed Titan, Dr. Darrow's connection to the Velocity Matrix was flawed, causing his powers to manifest in unpredictable ways and corrupting his mind. Emerging from the experiment as Mach Rush, Dr. Darrow embraced his newfound speed, but with a twisted purpose. He saw himself as the true heir to the Velocity Nexus and sought to eliminate Speed Titan, believing that only he deserved to wield such power. The Brain : Reynard Price was once a brilliant inventor and scientist, creating some of the most advanced technology and robotics that the world had ever seen. However, as he delved deeper into his research, he began to become obsessed with the idea of creating the ultimate weapon - a sentient robot that could think and move on its own, with the power to destroy anything that opposed it. Finally, The Brain succeeded in creating his ultimate weapon, a robot that he dubbed "Brainstorm." The robot was incredibly advanced, with the ability to learn and adapt to any situation, making it nearly unstoppable. Eclipse : Ayana Shaw was born with a rare mutation that gave her control over darkness and shadows. Growing up, she struggled to control her powers, often causing accidents and frightening those around her with her ability to disappear into the shadows at will. As she grew older, Eclipse became increasingly isolated and resentful of those who feared her powers. She turned to a life of crime, using her abilities to steal and hide from the authorities. Eventually, she came to the attention The Council, who saw potential in her unique abilities. The Council took Eclipse in, training her in the arts of espionage and assassination. She quickly rose through the ranks of the organization, becoming one of their most feared operatives. Her abilities to control darkness and shadows made her the perfect assassin, allowing her to strike from the shadows and disappear without a trace.
