The Picture Gallery was designed as a triple cube and has a coffered plasterwork ceiling over a high cove stuccoed in scrolls. The Long Gallery contains Italian Old Masters, with a notable marquetry commode, matching candlestands, and four pier glasses.
Brown also worked as a landscape architect and separated the park from the pleasure grounds using a ha-ha (sunken fence) so that the view from the house would not be obstructed. Brown enlarged the fish ponds to create a lake and constructed an orangery and a Gothic Bath House. He created a "Great Walk" stretching for a mile through clumps of trees. An ornamental arch was built so that the family and their guests could walk underneath the public right of way without having to cross it. Brown also planted screens of trees around the park to obscure roads and fields beyond, making the view more arcadian.
After Brown’s death, John Nash was commissioned to completely remodel the north façade in Strawberry Hill Gothic style, further embellishing other areas of Brown's external building works, including the Bath House in the North Avenue and a folly ruin that incorporated some medieval stonework.

HISTORY

Lady Katherine Derwent was born to Lord and Lady Cavenham in England and raised at the ancestral family estate in Hambleston, Gloucestershire. As a child, Kate was close to her twin brother Oliver even if it was well known that he—as a male and heir—would inherit the titles, estate, and bulk of the family fortune save for any trusts or bequeaths in her name.

She attended Meadowbank School, one of the most prestigious independent girls’ school in England, and despite her exemplary A Levels, opted to move to New York City to pursue a modelling career (much to the chagrin of her parents).

While in America, her telepathic mutant powers activated in a traumatic experience. She never revealed what consequences transpired from her power activation, since she seemed not to be able to fully access them in her early adult years. The event attracted the attention of the Superpowered Activities Monitoring division, a branch of the Federal Bureau for Super-powered Affairs responsible for monitoring superpowered activities throughout the nation.

Kate gained international praise in her career but eventually tired of the life and returned to England to further her education. She read Fine Arts at Magdalen College, Oxford University, before finding employment at the National Gallery as an art consultant. She excelled at her job and was offered an assignment at the Paragon Museum of Art in Paragon City, RI, USA. She eagerly accepted and found herself once more in contact with the FBSA and SAM.

APPEARANCE

Tall, serene, and graceful, Lady Katherine is the epitome of an English Rose. She is occasionally recognized from her modeling days when she graced magazine covers or fashion show catwalks and there is no denying her poise and elegance.

Psykey’s unarmored costume is a sleeveless black body suit with elbow-length black gloves and a black diamond face mask. There are raspberry accents along the thighs, knees, and calves, as well as on the forearms. A raspberry and silver magnesium alloy belt complete the look.

Psykey’s armored costume is a black impervium thread bodysuit, black face cover, black leather gloves, and black leather boots. For added protection there are silver magnesium alloy bracers and knee-high boot covers as well as a raspberry magnesium alloy chest plate. For added flair, there is a raspberry cowl with a calf-length cape.

PERSONALITY

The daughter of English aristocrats, Kate is used to the finer things in life. Don’t let her genteel demeanor fool you, however: she’s a veritable tigress when she needs to be and her psionic powers are not to be underestimated.

She isn't fussy about using her title but will flex that particular muscle as needed.

BASE OF OPERATIONS

Derwent Hall

Located in Hambleston, Gloucestershire, Derwent Hall was a royal manor in the days of the Saxon kings. After William the Conqueror, the manor continued to be passed down through the generations in the royal family until the reign of Elizabeth I.

In the late 1700s, Lancelot 'Capability' Brown was commissioned to redesign and enlarge the house and landscape the park. Brown set the style of the present-day building by retaining the Elizabethan stables, the Riding School, and the great gabled front to the house, which he doubled in depth and provided gabled wings at either end of the house, creating the Picture Gallery and State Rooms in the east wing and a library and new kitchens in the west wing.

Bunker-X

Bunker-X (or ten) is the temporary headquarters and base of operations of The Frontline. It is part of a network of secret bunkers and safehouses that Stryker established back in his day as Executive Director of S.P.E.C.T.O.R. Bunker-X is situated deep in an underwater cavern that forms the foundation of a remote island in the middle of the Atlantic. Access to Bunker-X requires modified S.P.E.C.T.O.R. communicators, tweaked with Rikti teleportation technology. This allows team members to quickly access the base from any part of the world. The communicator helps base personnel to pin-point the individual's whereabouts, opening up a "gateway" which allows access to the base. Currently, Bunker-X is kept functional by a small team of former S.P.E.C.T.O.R. agents and personnel.

ALTERNATE VERSION

There exists a Praetorian counterpart to the Psykey of Primal Earth. She is also a gifted mutant psychic but her abilities were honed differently and her life is the complete opposite.

Psymitar

She remembers nothing of her past. Perhaps it is for the best.

Her father was a high-ranking member of the Cole Administration who discovered his daughter's nascent psychic powers. Unwilling to see her rot in the Mother of Mercy Psychiatric Hospital or in the Seer Network, he altered her screening results and condemned an innocent girl to his daughter's fate instead. The truth was exposed when the girl perished as she began her conditioning and as punishment her were forced to watch their daughter's capture before being executed for treason.

As Seer 7734, she survived the cruel conditioning of the Network and outperformed others to earn her "Psymitar" moniker, only gaining freedom when Praetor Tilman attempted to mindwash Praetoria: the trauma Mother suffered at a retaliatory assault upon her Seer Network severed her link to her charges, meaning that for the first time in years she was free from the tangled psiweb but no less damaged and twisted from her time in it.

She escaped Praetoria’s ultimate downfall and now stalks Primal Earth, a shadow of her former self but no less formidable.
