Captain Marcus "Mac" Delaney, a renowned NASA astronaut with a rebellious streak and a deep fascination with space, led a groundbreaking mission called Project Vista. The mission's purpose was to establish a permanent base on the Moon as a stepping stone for further space exploration. Six weeks into the mission, Mac and his team detected an unusual energy signature emanating from a nearby crater. Driven by curiosity, they defied protocol to investigate and discovered a small, crystal-encrusted asteroid about the size of a basketball, pulsing with vibrant colors.

Entranced by the asteroid's beauty, Mac reached out to touch one of its crystals. The moment he made contact, a surge of energy coursed through him, knocking him unconscious. When he awoke, Mac found himself alone, his spacesuit transformed. Shimmering crystals, identical to those on the asteroid, had fused with his suit, creating an armored shell that emitted a faint glow. Even more astonishing, he felt a newfound strength within himself and discovered he could manipulate the surrounding lunar dust and rocks with his mind.

Upon returning to Earth, Mac realized the transformation was far more profound than he initially thought. The crystals weren't merely armor—they had bonded with his genetic makeup, granting him control over earthly rocks and a mysterious connection to the energy of the asteroid. His skin had turned a pale shade of turquoise, while his crystalline armor proved nearly indestructible, providing him with enhanced resilience against extreme temperatures and physical impacts. Scientists, baffled by this transformation, found the crystals to be harder than any known mineral and capable of self-regeneration, seeming to tie directly to Mac's life force.

As Mac experimented with his abilities, he discovered he could summon, shape, and manipulate rocks to create weapons, barriers, shields. The crystals responded to his emotions, growing brighter with intensity or dimming when he was calm. Despite efforts by NASA and the government to keep his abilities hidden, rumors spread of his transformation and extraordinary powers. The media dubbed him Asteroid—a man transformed.

However, the mysterious asteroid's influence extended beyond his physical transformation. Mac began experiencing haunting vision-like glimpses of planets and stars, accompanied by a sense of something ancient and powerful pulsing like a heartbeat in his mind. Unsure if these visions were side effects or messages from the asteroid itself, Mac sensed they pointed to a purpose beyond anything he'd imagined.

Now known as Asteroid, Mac embraced his new role, using his powers to protect Earth while grappling with the mystery of his transformation and the cosmic calling that urged him onward. The man once thought himself destined to reach the stars had instead brought the stars back with him.
