Rewarded As A Loyalist Deserves
The day started as usual. A rookie hero received a tip of an assault on the citizens, so he decided to intervene for fame and public adulation. However, defeating the bad guys and saving the day is slightly more complicated here in Praetoria.

A TPN Interview Recording
Your adventure started when you received a tip of an assault on your fellow citizens. You jumped into action and rescued several PPD officers, who were most likely the main target of the assault. They told you that one of their comrades, Specialist Nishimura, was still missing. You hurried to rescue her, but suddenly the Syndicate intruded and took the captive away.
Later, you learned that the Resistance and the Syndicate worked together to abduct Specialist Nishimura. You confronted all those villains in their hideout, fight hordes of ambushes, and took them down. It was hard, but you successfully rescued the specialist.
Thanks to your success, your rating soared, and you have won public recognition. To top it off, the PPD will lend their resources to you in the future, thanks to one particular admirer in the police force!

$name? Listen, a Resistance cell held a group of maintenance crews as hostages. There are several PPD officers in the tunnel, but they are no match for those terrorists. Could you intervene before the PPD deploys a full-scale attack on them? One of the hostages is my friend.

The underground hideout is only a few junctions away from you. The authorities will surely catch up with you to provide backup but don't rely on it. The syndicates are going to move the Specialist into a more secure area if you wait.

The syndicates believe that Specialist Nishimura abducted several of their high-ranking members under the pretense of law enforcement. She did this for years before they finally caught her.
Debriefing
Thanks for saving my friend,$name! He is at home right now, alive and well! Too bad Specialist Nishimura was not that lucky. If only we came earlier, we could save that poor woman.
However, I am still unsure about Ms. Mori's confession. She might be right, but it's hard for a low ranking cop to pull such trickery. How did she run a deception that was so cunning, it could avoid detection for years?
The Stronghold

$name, Ms. Mori sang like a bird, thanks to your rescue. Her confession revealed the extent of the syndicates' involvement. One of our perpetrators is a man called Mr. Durant, who oversees the kidnapping. The cops want him for questioning, but they require your assistance to breach their stronghold. Usually, they sent Specialist Nishimura to deal with syndicates' psychics. But, as you know, she is unavailable, so here is your chance. They will give you more detail, should you accept their request. Good luck, $name!

Recently, there was a breach of PPD's confidential data. PPD managed to track the culprit's location: inside Mr. Durant's stronghold. Maybe that is where they hold Specialist Nishimura. We could still save her!

Clue: Mr. Durant's Memories
Right before you delivered the final blow, Mr. Durant had sent you part of his memories. He sent you strings of alphanumeric characters and several gruesome visions depicting experiments on human subjects. Was it a password? You also tried to keep those images out, but they kept coming back.
Debriefing
The liaison called me. Your action was so impressive that the PPD could apprehend Mr. Durant. They also found shreds of evidence that Specialist Nishimura is still alive. Alas, those criminals had moved her somewhere else while you were breaching their hideout.
I also heard Mr. Durant's allegation, but extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. I think we will get to the bottom of this when we rescue Specialist Nishimura. Sadly, we still have no clue about her whereabouts.

Of course, while he was beating and locking Ms. Nishimura in the stasis pod on air, he accidentally gave away his hideout. What an idiot! The cops have surrounded the warehouse. I am sure he won't get away this time.

I heard too many rumors about him. Anyway, glad you made it out safely, so I don't need to cancel the TPN interview due to your premature death.

Debriefing
How was your stay in the hospital? I was not lucky. Someone shot my head right after I had escaped the building. Nearby PPD officers fought off my attacker and rescued me. Otherwise, I would be dead by now.
The wound left my memory in scrambles. Luckily, the nurse from Cole Memorial helped me a lot to regain it. Specialist Nishimura also filled the gaps in my memory.
By the way, I assume The Resistance attacked us as retaliation for killing Slapjack. Thank Cole, we survived with only a slight memory loss. Still, there are a few silver linings. After Slapjack died, local resistance fragmented and lost most of its power. Also, you are a hero now, $name. Everyone will remember your deeds for many years to come.
