He recognizes Warlock, or at least theorizes that he is actually 'Silver Warlock', an old veteran of the Rikti Wars alongside his father, and a wealthy magician who gives money out to different supergroups and government projects now that he has retired. Background
Once a young and aspiring Hero who fought for justice, the young man had a dark turn in his life when his father who had also been a hero turned out to be a vicious and monsterous alien warlord, and yet the young man was framed for the crimes of his father and locked away for his murder after supposedly killing him to defend the earth from the man who would have betrayed the planet he was born on.
Using the knowledge of his powers, a special collection of power inhibitors were made for the young man before he was locked away. Yet each day, his powers develop. Had he only known that the man that planned for this, he could have perhaps cleared his name, but now believing that not only longbow, but all of the heroes who once worked with his father believe he is a monster, he plans to prove himself one way or the other, removed from his fathers legacy.
