Helot
Origin Story
A helot is a slave. This one was the daughter of a shepherd in ancient Sparta. Her family was attacked by a young Spartan warrior on his agoge, a right of passage where the warrior kills and steals his way across the countryside. In desperation, the Helot promised her name to Artemis in exchange for the strength to slay the warrior. She stabbed the Spartan in the back as he pillaged her home and then began a reign of terror killing Spartans however she could. Her campaign of killing Spartans only ended when she somehow was transported to the modern era, in the Rogue Islands. She has been heard saying "I have killed more Spartiates than did Xerxes."
Helot quickly taught herself English, got a smartphone, and joined the Wasted Youth, where she's one of the top fighters and spies in the group.
Powers:
The Helot is a prodigy, able to learn new languages and skills in a matter of days. Despite her ancient upbringing she has little trouble using modern tools.
The Helot is a skilled combatant. Through unknown means her bronze sword can slice through tank armor, and her wood-and-bronze shield can stop everything from bullets to disintegration rays.
The Helot can hurl thunderbolts. She claims it's from sacrificing the livers of slain foes to Zeus.
The Helot somehow learned to teleport other people from reading Warpwitch's 'grimoires'. Which is a good trick, as Warpwitch is a scientist, and her books are physics textbooks.
Notes
Helot regularly breaks into Songwitch's home, as she's promised to watch her, and to kill the magician if she tries to take over the world again.
Helot has taken up playing the stock market, and is exceptionally good at it.
