History
Morrow is a mutant of second generation. Her mutant mother was victim of deadly violence during a riot incited by human supremacists in Kings Row. Her father died from a chronic heart disease only two years later when she was six years old. She spent the rest of her childhood and teenage years in an orphanage for children with meta human abilities (mostly mutants). At age 18 she came into contact with the mutant vigilante Amélie Dubois aka Screaming Star through a volunteer counseling program for mutant youths. Dubois gave her a job and introduced her to the world of mutant activism.
Currently
Operating under the name Lunar Funeral, which is the name of a Russian psychedelic rock band, Morrow acts as an unlicensed crime fighter, activist and terrorist, the perceived interests of mutant kind at the forefront of all of her activity. She is often involved in mutant protests, highly active on social media, has allegedly been involved with multiple kidnappings and cases of extortion of congressmen and women in order to push for legislation that would benefit mutants. When not engaging in this mostly illegal activity, she is working in the record store of Dubois. Warrants have not been issued due to both a lack of incriminating evidence and an effort to avoid large scale backlash from the mutant community who, as a whole, sees both Dubois and Morrow as nothing else but heroes.
Powers
Like many mutants she displays enhanced physical attributes. She can run at the speed of an Olympic athlete with relative ease and continue doing so for hours on end, is able to lift about three times her own body weight and has a skin density that allows her to survive small caliber ammunition without taking any substantial damage. Thorough investigation and monitoring by a team of experts in various fields, have lead to the conclusion that her mutant power is to forcefully siphon magical energy from the Netherworld and freely control it. She does this instinctively. There is no spell casting involved in the process. She seems unable to direct this negative energy away from herself more than an arms reach, for the most part. As a result, she fights up close. When she draws upon more than just a negligible amount of this energy, she will temporarily radiate it, seemingly serving as a sort of involuntary gateway. It is unknown whether or not this has lead to inhabitants of the Netherworld crossing over into our reality as of yet. Due to the lack of any scientific testing being conducted in regards to the limits of her powers, Morrow is to be considered at least an Alpha level mutant.
The so far observed capabilities of her powers include:
-Bringing an officer of the PPD to the brink of death by mere touch
-Causing panic in a whole mob of anti-mutant protesters by sending forth a wave of negative energy
-Spontaneously teleporting herself from Paragon City to the Etoile Islands
-Teleporting a whole squad of Council soldiers towards herself, which resulted in them getting completely drained, nothing remaining but dried husks
-Instantly killing a man almost twice her size with a simple punch to the chest
-Rotting away a brick wall over the course of half a minute by applying a concentrated dose of negative energy to it
-Running at 33 mph
-Shrugging off several shots from a 9mm pistol
-Surviving a shower of SMG fire by seemingly making the bullets disappear mere inches before they reached her
-Recovering from a shotgun blast to the stomach by leeching 'life force' directly out of her attacker
