"The world is going to still need protecting even if it's no longer being defended." - Proudstar

When darkness descends upon Paragon City and chaos engulfs Earth, The Protectors League answers the call. United by resolve, they stand as a beacon of hope against adversity, fighting through sacrifice and determination to secure peace in uncertain times.

OOC Overview

The Protectors League is an RPSG (Role-Playing Supergroup) on the Everlasting Server, inspired by DC's Justice League and Marvel's Avengers. We’re a tight-knit community of gaming, comic book, and pop culture nerds who enjoy writing and sharing stories about our characters and their world. Our tales mix modern comic book themes with classic capes-and-tights shenanigans, sprinkled with just the right amount of goofiness for a good time. We try for a balance of real-life, standard content, custom AE story arcs, and deeper Discord roleplay stories.

OOC'ly we are not very hierarchical. Our leadership is there to keep our Discord organized, vet new membership, enforce the few rules we have, and to mediate disputes. Leadership does not run all the stories and sessions.

We expect our members to be willing to take some initiative it driving their own character stories forward, add imaginatively and respectfully to others' stories, and to build long lasting friendships, both in-character and as players with each other.

Origin

In the wake of a UN-backed mission gone horribly wrong—where thousands perished due to bureaucratic inaction—Proudstar and her teammates took a stand. After weeks of independent action, they saw Paragon City’s desperate need for heroes. Driven by a noble purpose, they forged a pact to form a new team, free from manipulation and red tape, vowing to be a beacon of hope answering only to the righteous call for aid.

The Protectors Foundation

Recognizing superheroes’ vital role in safeguarding humanity, The Protectors Foundation was established as a non-profit by philanthropists Thomas Worthington III, Hazel Merrick, and superhero sensation Proudstar. It provides financial, logistical, and legal support to The Protectors League, a team of extraordinary individuals dedicated to protecting Paragon City and the world. The foundation ensures the League can focus fully on their duties, unburdened by personal expenses or legal woes. Governed by a 9-member Board of Directors—including the League’s current Chairperson—it comprises prominent figures committed to justice.

The Bastion

The Bastion is the League’s base, located on an island off the Eastern Seaboard. Originally Hazel Merrick’s property, Thomas Worthington III transformed it into a cutting-edge facility for swift threat response. Its most secure resources lie hundreds of feet underground, controlled by ARCHI (Advanced Reactive Cognitive Holographic Interface), an AI designed by Talonknight and former-teammate Lady Warspite.
