PERSONAL DATA

NAME: Fox McIver
KNOWN ALIASES: Foxy, Flambae
BASE OF OPERATIONS: REDACTED
PLACE OF BIRTH: Paragon City, RI
AGE: 24
EYE COLOR: Blue
HAIR COLOR: Pink (dyed)
OCCUPATION: Checkout Clerk
POWERS: Control of time and unique fire
ABILITIES: Able to, from her dilation/distortion field, manipulate the flow of time in a certain area around herself; able to shoot blasts of oddly colored fire.

Fox McIver is a woman given to fits of pique with an incredibly high sense of self and the ability to turn any situation into something a little more vibrant than it was before. With hair dyed an unnatural shade of pink and blue energy pouring from her eyes, she paints the picture of the odd duck in a group of odd ducks.

It wasn’t like Fox to run headfirst towards danger, or even to remotely put herself in harm’s way, but one afternoon on her way to gymnastics practice — and late for it, to boot — she ended up making her way right towards the thing that would change her life irrevocably in the end.

An explosion nearby caught her attention, and while she mentally argued with herself (‘This is stupid, you’re gonna get yourself killed.’ ‘but I’ll get to rub it in Rex's smug face’) she was still beating feet towards the source of the sound. Fire poured from the windows of the warehouse and even then she went in through one set of double doors and straight into… well, how does one explain a field of pure time dilation that warps and manifests around you in a really awkward way.

Another explosion and she was engulfed in flames, the field around her devouring them in a second and instead changing the very makeup of how she exists. Her eyes were wrapped in the energy and no longer visible outside of its odd color, exploding outwards further any time she was to need it. A shaping of strange markings across her face and neck now framed her face. Time was different inside the bubble and she found herself feeling out of sorts.

Fox's powers are hard to explain, even for her, and so she resorts to using the most basic language she can to tell people about them, usually. As much as she loves the powers she has now, she can't help but feel there's something underlying them that'll eventually be her downfall, but you'd be hard-pressed to get her to admit that.

Distortion Field Invisible and seemingly unknown, Fox is wrapped in a bubble of distortion that also houses her time dilation field. Little is known about how that explosion in the warehouse managed to do that to her, or how she came to be able to understand it. Whether it's a temporal loop or imperative that she understand that power is a mystery, but what's obvious is that she is very, very protective of her bubble and who gets inside of it.

Time Control Mostly within her own bubble, Fox has absolute control over time. Outside of the bubble it's less clear, and mostly it seems to stem out and shape from her in the span of that bubble and several feet in any direction; if she focuses she can push it even further and manipulate time from a good distance, but she worries about what that might do to the integrity of the bubble around her.

Death Retrograde Though she'd be hard-pressed to actually tell anyone, Fox is ninety-nine percent sure that she's dying inside of her own time dilation and distortion field. She's able to keep it from overtaking her because the bubble exists and she's fiercely protective of her personal space for that reason; the truth is that she often pushes the time back within the bubble to make sure that it doesn't expand out.

Fire Control Fox calls it fire because she has no other way to explain the way it burns or the way that it lights up brighter depending on what is going on within her distortion field, but the truth is the substance she produces is more closely related to fire than anything else, even though that is not an apt descriptor overall; she has full control over it, though.

Genius Ditz — It might not seem like Fox has any sort of actual intelligence at times, but when she gets into talking about her powers (something she has researched at length) she gets this tone that speaks of a greater sum of knowledge than others around her.

Time Master — Though she might not have an expansive control on time outward from her person — she's incapable of time travel in the strictest sense, for instance — she does have mastery over time within her own little time distortion bubble and the ability to spread that outwards to those in her vicinity, making her formidable and a time master in her own right.

Fragile Speedster — Her control over time means that she's able to at least seem faster than most, and it still falls within the purview of speedster, but she's also made of something weak like papier mâché or Raditz and easily broken; this girl stubs her toe more than anyone should when they have mastery over time.

Valley Girl — It's mostly the speech patterns, though she does have a penchant for fashion and other things, it's truly a testament to the way she carries herself more than anything else. She like... really speaks differently at times, it's totally weird.

Foolish Sibling, Responsible Sibling — Fox is the former of the two, often eschewing her responsibilities in lieu of fun or taking the easy way out; often late to practices and otherwise, she was the one who got chastised the most for being irresponsible and her brother was the golden child who did all the right things.

TBD — “Well you can go ahead and get in the pond if you’re gonna act like a silly goose.” — Fox loves her brother, and Rex loves her, but in the end they're both a bit hotheaded at times and tend to compete. They work best when they're together, and they feed off one another in combat, but the sibling rivalry is real because Fox feels Rex gets more love than she does. As much as she's ready to butt heads with him, she'll drop someone over her brother; only she can mess with him.
