"Avenging Falcon was already allocated, Justice Vulture sounds absolutely stupid, and even I have to admit the prospect of a giant irradiated parakeet has a certain intimidation factor to it." -Para
Briefly
Nuclear Parakeet is a Praetorian Loyalist, embittered by their circumstances and the state of the world. They tend to be dry, sarcastic, and rather abrupt with everyone. Their mutation is extensive and complete, and they identify as a non-binary agender, using they/them pronouns. They are also quite adamant that they either be addressed as 'Nuclear Parakeet' or 'Para.'
Quick Facts, According to Para
- Harmless To Be Around[1]
- Doesn't Cause Cancer[2]
- They/Them Pronouns
- Not even slightly related to parakeets, but it was marketable.
- Nuclear Parakeet or Para is okay. Nuke or Keet is extremely not.
- "Take no shit, give no quarter." -me!
- The wings and tail are harmless[3] Cherenkov radiation
- No, that is not the natural color of my feathers or beak
- Absolutely not a Hamidon creation
- Most certainly has the authority to tell you what to do
- Still waiting for my action figure after agreeing to be more marketable[4]
[1] Completely unconfirmed and highly unlikely; keep this one away from sensitive equipment. -Praetor Berry [2] They both eat and emit absurd levels of ionizing radiation. ABSOLUTELY they cause cancer. Who authorized this? -Praetor Keyes [3] This incomprehensibly seems to be true and warrants further investigation. -Praetor Berry [4] Please do not remind Para that their 'marketability' is barely enough to keep them on PPD without complaints. -Chief Interrogator Washington
History
Wherever Nuclear Parakeet came from, they and the Praetors seem content to simply not answer, and let others speculate. The leading and most likely theory is genetic experimentation, but genetic mutation cannot be ruled out either. Unlike many loyalists, Para does not seem to seek power or use their powers to intimidate, instead seemingly obsessed with respect. Or it could simply be they see a way to seize one of the more impressive avian-themed names for themselves.
