What started as a life full of potential was cut tragically short when Hilda Fahri's sister, Zelda, sent her to the Shadow Realm; while she's not sure if it was on purpose, she has this inkling that it might have been, and it drives her. The time she spent within that realm changed her. Her magic was drained just to keep her alive, and what she could find to do — mostly reading old tomes that had been lost there for centuries — didn't do much to help her get free. Instead, she had to rely on others to get her out, and for ten years she was alone. Alone, except for the darkness.

The surprise of the century came when her sister was the one to pull her free of the Shadow Realm and set her loose on Paragon, once again, unawares that the sister she'd sent in was vastly different from the one she'd been returned: crueler, more devious, and paranoid to the point of nigh-insanity. There's something in the back of her mind, something clinging to the realm she left behind and is desperate in her own way to get back to, that pushes her cruelty to even further depths of depravity; her forward face is one of quiet contemplation while every synapse in her brain is firing in sinister machinations behind the scenes.

Drifting and somewhat aimless until she can achieve her goals, Hilda has donned the moniker Autocast, though has not registered as a Hero or otherwise; perhaps it's for the best, as fooling her sister is easy enough but fooling the world at large might prove more than she's capable of in the long-run.

Hilda's magic was beyond reproach before her trip to the Shadow Realm and is now corrupted by her time there; only able to tap into the specific powers she was able to read about and cling to in its infinite darkness, things have changed somewhat for the former magic prodigy.

PAIN MANIPULATION
By internalizing all of her pain, Hilda was able to survive the terrors of the Shadow Realm</span and now uses that to terrorize others. Though she pretends to be somewhat meek at times, her control over the pain of others is absolute, and she can, with the flick of a finger, cripple someone entirely. It also helps her push down her own pain now that she's returned to the real world and makes her far more adaptable.
SHADOWFIRE
Normal fire burns and often consumes, but shadowfire clings and devours absolutely. In her time in the Shadow Realm, Hilda found herself in need of a pass-time and some way of kindling her own magic — slowly being sapped away by the darkness of the realm itself — and found a way to weave the shadows of that realm into a fire so hot it could keep away the worst of the beasties that would try to eat her. She now uses that same shadowfire to bind and scorch her enemies to varying degrees.
FLIGHT
Some mages have learned to use spells to train them to fly. Each spell is generally channeled, and over the years they're able to fly without so much thought out in to the quick incantation it takes. Hilda's time within the realm of shadows has left her with inherent flight. The second she thinks of flying, it happens, and she isn't sure how to explain it; flight comes naturally to the former mage.

It's hard to pinpoint Hilda's actual attachments in this world. But there are threads that bind everyone, and if you look with a critical eye (and a bit of magic) you can see which lives are sewn together by the red threads of fate.

Spellcheck
Her sister and, whether Zelda knows it or not, her eternal rival. At one point Hilda loved her sister and maybe somewhere deep down she still does. But her time outside of their realm, and the fact that Zelda was the reason she was there — even though it was Hilda's challenge that brought it about — means that relationships are strained. As much as Hilda puts on a face of strained distance from her situation but definite love for her sister, deep down she's always planning something else for her beloved rival sister.

;Evil

On some level Hilda knows Lamia is a shadow copy of herself, at least of a sort, but she doesn't really remember how she got there or how she is attached to this woman. The surface thoughts always get blurry when she comes in contact with what, honestly, amounts to her 'daughter' and she forgets entirely how she knows her. There is a strong thread between the two of them, and to challenge their bond would be perilous from either end.
