The Providence Society
With roots dating back to the early days of the New England Colonies, the Providence Society is one of the oldest social clubs in America. It boasts industrialists and philanthropists among its ranks: the movers and shakers of the nation. Its members are heavily involved in charitable causes and the Society's galas are renowned along the Northeast.
Membership is highly exclusive and obtained either by virtue of lineage or select invitation from the board. As a courtesy, members can invite a limited number of guests to the dining room or the saloon as long as they respect club rules while on the premises.
For major social events like the Founders' Ball, tickets are sold for steep sums and keen aspirants make large donations in the hope of future membership.

The Court of Suits
As far as the public knows, the Providence Society is just another ritzy membership organization, a playground for the wealthy. Even regular club members are unware that a core group operates the secretive and shadowy Court of Suits: these Jacks, Queens, and Kings, see themselves as the true and the strong—the only ones with the vision and the power to mete out divine providence.
