Powers and Abilities

Water Magic

Mizutama's tails naturally produce a saline substance with a similar consistency to soapy water, which she often spreads as she travels. She is able to manipulate this and other sources of water to produce magical effects, such as healing wounds or knocking down assailants with jets of water.

Kitsune Magic

As a kitsune, Mizutama is highly adept at the art of shapeshifting, able to almost perfectly mimic the appearance of any living creature with a snap of her fingers. This power comes with an obvious drawback in the form of her six tails; while the rest of the disguise is perfect, Mizutama's power does not extend to her tails, which she often attempts to hide by bundling them behind her.

In addition, Mizutama has very limited control over "kitsunebi," a form of spectral fire.

Translocation

Mizutama has been known to simply appear in just about any location, often passing through unobserved doorways and from behind walls or furniture. It is believed that this is a form of teleportation magic, though the FBSA has not been able to confirm or deny this theory, as this behavior has never been properly observed.

Supernatural Resilience

As a supernatural being, Mizutama is highly resilient to magical effects. She is also particularly resistant to the effects of poisons, especially alcohol, and has been witnessed drinking entire bottles of hard liquor with no ill effect.

Other Abilities

Apart from her obvious supernatural abilities, Mizutama displays incredible intuition and social intelligence; while she does not display telepathic or even empathic tendencies, she is highly skilled at reading expressions and body language to the point where she often knows what someone is thinking without them saying it.

Mizutama is also a practicioner of ninjutsu, and has expressed skill with a sword and a bow. She has expressed some interest in operating a dojo on the outskirts of Paragon City, though construction on the building has not been completed due to difficulties negotiating with her very particular vision of the location.

Personality

It should be noted that Mizutama is the former head of the Kawakami Family, a yakuza family of moderate repute.

It should be noted that Mizutama has informally requested that officials avoid pairing her with heroes with Ice-based powers for "personal reasons."
