- MIMICRY
Has the power to make motions so realistic they cause actual harm to others, even if she doesn't get close to touching them; as if she's wielding a weapon. The same applies to defenses she enacts with hand motions and flailing.
Minette — full name Minette Mayhem, if you read the business card she hands out — is, at the very root of it all, a mime. Mute entirely, she isn't an ordinary mime, and no one knows exactly how she's able to do what she can, but to her it's all natural. A birthright that she uses to her benefit and others' detriment. Most Mimes stand around and wait to annoy passers-by and are considered, by the public at large, to be the lowest form of art. Minette feels that she excels well beyond that moniker, given that she can actually do harm and protect herself just by going through the motions. A quick swipe of her hands and claw marks appeared across her foes, even though she wields no weapons and, in most cases, wasn't even close enough to touch them. A flex of her bicep and suddenly she's much more resilient to everything that would come at her. She feels unstoppable.
A natural performer but with a penchant for ultra violence, she gravitates towards the less than savory actions and, though she'd never label herself specifically this way, is probably what most would consider a villain. She has robbed banks, kidnapped heckles and made them pay, and generally made sure that she gets her own way every time. Spoiled to a point, Minette is not looking for anyone's approval so much as the respect she feels — knows — she deserves.
Minette has not mutated; she hasn't been magically enchanted; she honestly couldn't even tell you where she was born or where she got her powers. She calls it natural talent, a belief in her art so much that it is real.
- MIMICRY
- Her main ability by far is the ability to mimic motions that she's seen and create damage doing them. Acting almost animalistic at the best of times, she slashes out and leaves behind damage beyond reckoning. A natural mime in every way, she has never met a situation she can't recreate and make real.
- MANIPULATION
- Both of matter and reality, the very fact that Minette can make her motions real and powerful with merely the strength of her will proves that, on some level, she can shape and manipulate reality. If she mimes sitting, she won't fall to the ground if there's no seat; you can swing a hand under it and feel nothing, but it's entirely solid for her. Other times, she creates fully solid things that can't be seen to smash the hells out of anyone who runs into them; all at her will. Beyond that, she also has the ability to charm her way out of everything; especially given that she has no voice.
- ACROBATICS
- Any good mime will learn acrobatics at some point; it's sort of key. Minette is adept at them.
- PRETEND
- No one likes mimes, but Minette does. Even with everything he's been through, Pretend is one of the few people who can calm Minette down just by existing. They never speak — they can't — but in their time together they've explored volumes. She's likely a bad influence on him and it shows, but both of them seem fine for going along for the ride.
