Like her "big sister" Jenny, Betty's primary function was to lead and supervise squads of less-sophisticated robotic drones and protect them from outside threats they would not be able to confront. Possibly due to their "uniqueness," Betty has expanded this mandate to
* Her robots (her "puppies," as she calls them),
* Other Praetoria-born individuals,
* Members of the various teams she belonged to,
* People she has befriended and their friends as well.
She is very protective of her "puppies," even attributing them human traits - for example, when she says that her "puppies" don't like the cold.
