Porche was one of the Maidens of Akhan, the Living goddess of the people of Phan'akhut. Hers was an ancient bronze-age society so old even myths of it have faded from memory. A deeply religious woman she served her Goddess fanatically until the day she was incapacitated.
In last day of her life in her homeland, she had seen a great star come down from the heavens with a blinding light overhead. Impacting over the horizon the explosion it caused made the earth lift up and move like water instantly destroying nearly everything around her and burying her under the dirt. She felt a great pain, and fell comatose, to slumber for untold ages.
Uncovered in a dig she was brought to a research facility where they studied her extensively believing her to be dead but somehow preserved. It wasn't until a scientist attempted to take a sample with a syringe that she suddenly awakened, punched her fist right through the glass containment vessel they had her in to prevent damage, and grabbed the scientist by the throat before throwing him back across the room. Forcing her way out she grabbed her equipment which was also being studied before a security guard arrived and in a panic shot her. Porche slammed the guard with her shield, then brought the edge up to break his jaw before kicking him through the door. Stepping out other facility guards saw her and they opened fire. Her response left 4 men seriously injured and she began searching for a way out of the facility.
By the time she found an exit members of the Powers Division arrived and a fight ensued. Despite taking a number of hits she was unphased and counter-attacking with a great deal of skill she caused numerous injuries. In the end, it was a scientist named Alexis who stopped the fight. Getting the attention of one of the powers divisions she explained what happened and let them know that Porche had not attacked anyone who didn't attack her first. The Powers Division member, Moonlight, took a risk and got the team to back off of the attack. She had not attacked Porche so Porche didn't attack her. Taking a chance and using her telepathic abilities she was able to get across that they did not want to fight. Alexis explained everything they knew about Porche and through a great deal of effort they were able to end hostilities. Fortunately, there had been no fatalities.
She gradually acclimated to her new world. Proving capable of learning new things at an incredible rate she learned English rapidly and in less than a year was completely conversational as a native speaker.
Personality
Porche is very reserved but friendly with a melancholy air. Contemplative, thoughtful, and an almost courtly politeness and poise. She will often sit for hours observing people and listening. Her best friend is the well-known Chili Bear and will be seen being silly with him.
Powers
Porche has thousands of years of combat experience, which makes her an incredibly dangerous opponent with much experience in wielding her sword and shield. As part of this, her undead nature has made her incredibly durable to the point of being nearly invulnerable to damage and injury. A lack of vital organs means she can shrug off most blows and attacks, even when not protected by her armor. Tests have shown she is an Incarnate. She is not bothered by extremes in temperature and does not tire. Capable of running at a full sprint fully equipped she can maintain her pace indefinitely.

Trivia
Porche can read and write in 36 different languages, However 35 of these languages are dead languages with no known examples
Porche's hair is her natural color. Among her people, common hair colors included vibrant purple, a dark blue hue, and white. She is also able to grow her hair at will by focusing on it for many hours. Not a superpower per se but one of the few moments of style that the Maiden allowed themselves.
Porche is a superb swimmer and will often go swimming in Talos bay at night. Her untiring endurance and strength combined with not needing to breathe let her both swim in strong currents and dive underwater to explore for hours.
Equipment
Recent analysis by scientists interested have shown her equipment has low level magic at a quantum level that can't be explained by current knowledge. The equipment is for all practical purposes unbreakable and self repairing. This ability is why, despite bronze being the main material, it can hold up to advanced alloys and modern steel. Her deathmask is very similar and is bonded to her through some undetected mechanism.
A difference is noted here with how Porche describes the use of magic. In her time magic behaved differently, much more powerful and chaotic to the point they suppressed its use because of destructive and lethal incidents. Cabals were used to control it and even then when they lost control the results would take out entire city blocks. She also described magical artifacts that killed entire city populations or that were used in battle with devastating effects to both the wielder and the victims.
Biology
Probes by telepaths have revealed startling revelations about her mind. Her brain matter is much denser with more neurons packed in giving her a very lengthy memory. It is not known if this is typical for her people or unique to the Maidens. A leading theory is this was common for her people since remapping of the brain on that level would be a lengthy process and things like habits would have been lost.
Deeper dives by Magi uncovered something else that was remarkable that they had never before seen and it is a brain structure that overlapped but was partly out of phase. This new structure extended past her physical mind. The suggestion is that this is the source of the Bond. The mental connection that Porche shared with her sisters and to her Goddess. This is actually a hive mind or interconnected mind that allows for instantaneous communication and coordination. This phased-out structure appears inert but it does appear to be still intact, suggesting that the underlying fabric of it still exists. She does not need it to function but she does feel its absence much like how a lost limb feels.
Her physical biology also shows a number of differences such as lacking tonsils, a lack of a spleen, and two organs that served an unknown function. Given her undead nature, the purpose of these is impossible to ascertain since they are no longer functional.

This explains why her body was still in perfect condition despite being buried in the earth for thousands of years. She does not eat but can drink, the liquid she drinks seems to convert into magical energy and is "breathed" out. The mechanism of this matter to magical energy are not yet understood.

Backgroup Lore
Phana'Khut
Phana'Khut, the shining jewel of the ancient world. An empire that thrived for thousands of years in a time before Iron. A southern land of lush, dense jungles and soaring jagged mountains. A land of extremes. The empire's fortunes ebbed and flowed over time but the one constant was the faith of Akhan.
Akhan, the living Goddess, was the center point of their faith. A being of great power she and her church provided a bastion of stability and order during even the most trying of times. The Goddess only seldom intervened in the affairs of the empire, usually when it was most needed or her guidance was needed to return the country to a safe course in the worst storms.
She brooked no other gods in these lands and missionaries and preachers seeking to convert people were removed with prejudice. The stability she offered meant few even wanted to deviate from her faith.
Thousands upon thousands of women served in the various religious orders that worshipped her. Some as healers, others as priestesses, and some as warriors. They were separate from the empire's military and answered only to the church but in practical terms they were a second force that often complemented the empire, although their first priority was protecting the temples.
A Maiden
The strongest of arm, mind, and faith were watched and tested. Some were deemed worthy to be offered the chance to become a Maiden. The Goddesses own elite warriors. This was no simple decision, however, for to become a Maiden the woman had to willingly die as a sacrifice to the Goddess. In a Ritual performed by the Goddess herself, the woman was sacrificed. It was her willingness and strength of faith that would keep her soul from passing on as it should and allow the Goddess to capture it and change it, imparting a tiny sliver of herself unto it. Powerful magics reformed the physical body beyond what a human was capable of and the soul returned to create the Maiden.
A maiden has no memories of her past life, though many habits and mannerisms carry over. She is purified of wants and desires except for her service to the Goddess. Things like family bonds, lusts, and wants are erased. It makes a Maiden both inhuman and incorruptible. You cannot bribe that which does not care about gold, you cannot seduce that which has no physical desire, and you cannot have questionable loyalties in one who has none save one.
A Maiden is a mixture of both a Golem and a Zombie. Made of physical flesh but augmented. Her senses are greatly improved, she no longer needs food, water, or sleep. Temperature extremes do not bother her and she does not breathe. Each maiden shares in the Bond, a telepathic link to all other Maidens and to the Goddess. Her mind is able to observe and never get bored meaning she can stand on guard duty forever but in practice, this is not done because they share in the duties to continually hone their skills. R
Upon each maiden a mask of seemingly fragile porcelain was worn, a symbol of both who she was, and a warning that she was a faceless extension of the Goddess's will. Despite its appearance, the mask is completely immune to all damage and it is impossible to remove it from the wearer. When a Maiden finally dies in battle she and her mask dissipate completely as though they were never there.
The Goddess
Akhan, the Goddess that Porche served is unknown to the modern world. No known record of any being claiming that name has been recorded. Based on Porche's descriptions and educated guesses three theories are popular. The first is that Akhan is an actual Goddess who has either perished or left this world. The second is that the Goddess was an Incarnate and was capable of creating the Maidens and imbueing them with power. The third is more far-fetched but relies on Akhan's ability to influence the Maidens. Porche described it as being an extension of her will in that they always knew what the Goddess wanted. In this theory, the Goddess was actually a manifestation of the Well of Furies and created the Maidens as early Incarnates. It relies on the known ability of the Well to influence Incarnates who directly received their power from the well.
