History

Sophie Morrow is a 3rd Generation mutant. Both her parents and two of her grandparents were born with a meta gene. Her original power was to shoot lasers out of her eyes though genetic experimentation by a certain Dr. Kaminski (Unknown individual, spelling of name unclear) activated additional, dormant meta genes within her that were meant for following generations. Before her kidnapping by this apparent mad scientist that controlled her via some sort of archaic mind control techniques, she was working as a sidekick for [REDACTED] in Paragon City. In mid 2020, after her kidnapping by Dr. Kramensky, she was filmed facing off against the creature known as the Manti-Gore in St. Martial. Their fight caused multiple million dollars worth of damages and left a small portion of the city in ruins. In early 2021 she joined the criminal organisation known as the Black Hand Society. Soon after this another battle with the Manti-Gore, which again caused considerable collateral damage, left her heavily injured. One of the Black Hand Society leaders, a Praetorian known as Void Glow managed to organise a raid on a Council base in Grandville in order to procure a Nictus named Sinister Star which was born in captivity and forced it to merge with Morrow which resulted in a new being, coining herself Shadowgaze, to be formed. It appears that this new consciousness does not have access to the powers that were brought on by the genetic manipulation that Sophie Morrow had been subjected to by Dr. Cahmenshky.

Currently

Shadowgaze is still working for the Black Hand Society as a Hand of the Blood Eclipse family. Her role in stealing a drug called Fyxadine from the Neo-Syndicate has put her on the organisation's hit list.

Powers (Lasergaze)

-Shooting lasers out of her eyes that have been witnessed cutting through 20 cm thick layers of concrete.

-Enhanced senses, strength and agility .

-Able to coat her skin in carbon like, impossibly dense material and form claws on her fingertips out of it. It forms reflexively when she's being attacked, even when she's not aware of it.

-Tapping into the Netherworld to stealth, strike with negative energy or to teleport herself, others or objects that roughly don't have more mass than a car short distances within her line of sight.

Powers (Shadowgaze)

-Retains eye lasers.

-Both short and long range teleportation of herself and objects no larger than the average car, achieved via folding space.

-Projecting dark, cosmic energy in various forms, both offensive and defensively.

-Draining lifeforms of their energy for sustenance or to turn it into short lived, independently acting pseudo-nictus that she can coordinate to attack.

-Adopting a semi-noncorporeal, translucent form which makes her somewhat resistant to physical force.

Weaknesses (Lasergaze)

Very vulnerable to psychic attacks. Might be vulnerable to reality bending, certain types of magic, radioctivity, supersonic waves, extreme temperatures and ingested poisons/toxins. Otherwise nigh impossible to harm.

Weaknesses (Shadowgaze)

Has developed a resistance to psychic attacks since she became Shadowstar though as a trade off has become way more susceptible to conventional attacks.
