After tapping their networks in search of leads on the Zythraxian threat, while simultaneously clearing members of suspicion within their ranks (to Spellcaster's dismay), the Protectors League run into a dead end. As their search grows desperate, Dr. Axel Lemure leaves a cryptic distress signal for the League at the Museum of World History in New York. Agent No, Big Mutt, Ensorcelled, Solomon Caine, Rocket Robyn, Shield Sentinel, Talonknight and the newest Protector Energize blend in with the crowd using holo-disguises (except for Sol) to rendezvous with Lemure as well as avoid unwanted attention, not knowing who was after the Doctor. After mistaking several patrons who had a similar description, they finally met up with Dr. Lemure, who informed them why he led them to the Ancient Worlds exhibit: a key piece of Zythraxian technology was hidden amongst the displays and needed to be secured before the Zythraxians could get a hold of it. Right on cue, the Zythraxians revealed themselves among the crowd, and a scramble for the Omnibox ensued. The Zythraxians succeeded and escaped with the artifact. In his panicked state, Dr. Lemure revealed himself to be one of the original Zythraxian scouts, who came to Earth centuries ago with his brother, who had been the cadaver in Wamemaliza. He explained how he came to love Earth and wanted to stop the invasion. Hearing his plight, the Protectors League agreed to act immediately, pursuing the Zythraxians to Mothership Zeta - a decommissioned battleship and base of operations for one of many Zythraxian cells. As the team infiltrated the ship, they were met with a surprise: Dominus Corvax, a Zythraxian General and the leader of Earth's invasion set a trap for them, whilst escaping with the Omnibox artifact. With the station set to self-destruct, the team fought their way out while Dr. Lemure secured the ship's data, which includes traces of the Dominus' invasion plans. Once again a step behind, the League now prepares and plans, waiting for the Dominus to make his move..

With the looming Zythraxian threat taking up resources and attention, the Protectors League is called into action by the neighboring Huddson City to assist with a riot-inducing toxin affecting its citizens. Recently promoted Huddson City Police Department Captain Helen Carr tasks the team with crowd containment and an investigation into what's causing the riots. At first, Talonknight suspects the event has direct ties to the Zythraxian invaders, but after a blood test on one of the rioters proves that the toxin is not of Zythraxian origin, the team proceeds with their investigation. With the HCPD's assistance, the Protectors League heads to an abandoned office laboratory belonging to Shinto Pharamceuticals. An ambush ensues, and the team is poisoned with the toxin they're investigating. Fighting its effects as well as their attackers, the team apprehends Hellucinator and his gang, who admits their plot to muscle in on the powers that control Huddson City— he and his partner-in-crime Feareater took control of a Shinto Pharma facility with access to the city's sewer system with the hopes of exposing everyone indoors and outdoors through their plumbing. The team is able to foil their plot and capture Hellucinator. However, Feareater is still at large.

After receiving word that his old nemesis Green Dragon had returned from the dead and was spotted in the Rogue Isles, Samuraicon sets out to investigate her mysterious reappearance. He discovers, though he cannot prove, that Green Dragon is behind the recent consolidation of gangs and villains into a larger force. Together with TalonKnight, they pinpoint the location where the gangs of the Rogue Isles are congregating and infiltrate the facility with a team of Protectors Leaguers, both old and new. They discover that Green Dragon is now going by Dragonblade and leading a mysterious organization of soldiers, misfits, and assassins called TIAMAT. Their plan is to consolidate the smaller gangs in the Rogue Isles for a hostile takeover, strategically positioning themselves to take down Paragon City - The City of Heroes, before moving on to the rest of the country.

When a maid from one of the world’s most exclusive membership clubs - The Providence Society - witnesses something they shouldn’t have, TalonKnight intervenes to save her life and brings the Protectors League in to investigate any sinister happenings within the club. Through one of their benefactors, Thomas Worthington III (TK’s alterego), the team is able to infiltrate the club’s Founder’s Ball Gala at the Providence Clubhouse. Once there, they manage to find a secret room, confirming the hysterical maid’s story. Digging further into the tunnels, they uncover an underground facility and a secret group within the Providence Society: The Court of Suits. They learn that the Court has been surveilling them, and are expanding their ranks and influence, with one of their key candidates being Thomas Worthington. They’re confronted and ambushed by the Aces - an elite fighting force commandeered by the Jack of Spades- Nitroburst’s ex-lover and TalonKnight’s maternal cousin, Miles Carrington.

Jack of Spades- Nitroburst’s ex-lover and TalonKnight’s maternal cousin, Miles Carrington.

After a heated confrontation with which Ensorcelled and Nitroburst overwhelmed Miles, the team manages to escape into the sewers with the Aces of the Suits in pursuit, unable to teleport due to some sort of magical interference. Dr Raymond Marks was a brilliant chemist working for Shinto Pharmaceuticals out of Huddson City. His life’s work was to develop a serum that could assist Metahumans in the armed forces “to keep fighting” once injured in combat, acting as a substitute to morphine. While successful, the funding was pulled after the Rikti War due to production costs and research showing negative effects due to prolonged exposure. Disappointed that his life’s work was over as quickly as it started, he turned to family, his older twin brother Ryan, a former psychiatrist turned drug dealer. Using Raymond’s serum, they were able to corner a share of the market with a new drug to compete with Superadine called “Lift” as it gave you a certain high. The Gravano Family caught wind, and shut their operations down, sending the brothers to their deaths. Fast forward to NOW, the brothers manage to survive, with Raymond taking on the mantle of the Hellucinator to not only exact revenge on the family that wronged them, but to also take back what he feels they’re entitled to: Huddson City.

PLTeam Wiki.png

OOCInfo-PLWiki.png

The Protectors League is an RPSG on the Everlasting Server inspired by DC's Justice League (and all its variations) and Marvel's Avengers teams. We're a tight-knit community of popular media, gaming and comic book nerds who enjoy writing and sharing stories about our characters and the world they live in. We dabble in various themes that resemble MOST modern comic book/popular media storylines, and good ol' fashioned capes and tights shenanigans with just the right amount of goofiness to have a good time.

Origin.png

In the aftermath of a UN-backed mission gone awry, where thousands fell due to failure to authorize immediate action against a threat, Proudstar and several of her teammates took a stand. After weeks working on their own, they observed the city's cry for heroes in their absence, they felt a call to action coursing through their veins. Together, they forged a pact, vowing to form a new team untainted by bureaucracy or manipulation. Bound by a noble purpose, they pledged to be the beacon of hope, answering only to the righteous call for aid.

PLFoundation PLWiki.png

Recognizing the vital role that superheroes play in protecting humanity from various threats, The Protectors Foundation was established as a non-profit organization by philanthropists Thomas Worthington III and Hazel Merrick along with superhero-pop sensation Proudstar to provide financial, logistical, and legal support to The Protectors League: a team of extraordinary individuals dedicated to safeguarding the citizens of Paragon City and the world.

The purpose of the foundation is to ensure the league can focus on their duties without worrying about personal expenses or legal complications, allowing them to dedicate their full attention and resources towards protecting the world. The foundation is governed by a Board of Directors that consist of prominent figures whom share a deep commitment to upholding justice in the world and Paragon City. The board is made up of 9 members, including whomever is currently sitting as Chairperson of The Protectors League.

Bastion Wiki.png

The Bastion serves as the official base of operations for The Protectors League. Situated strategically on an island along the Eastern Seaboard of the United States, this state-of-the-art facility enables rapid and effective responses to both domestic and international threats. Initially belonging to Hazel Merrick, a director of the Protectors Foundation, the island underwent a remarkable transformation into a cutting-edge center for Earth’s Ultimate Protectors, spearheaded by fellow board member Thomas Worthington III.

In addition to the prominent tower structure visible above ground, the team's most secure resources are situated several hundred feet beneath the main building. The Bastion is controlled and operated by an artificial intelligence designed by Talonknight with assistance from former teammate Lady Warspite called the Advanced Reactive Cognitive Holographic Interface or ARCHI for short.

Bastion FBSA.png
THE BASTION'S ROOMS

Reception Area - Located on the first floor of the Bastion, guests and allies will be greeted by a pair of drones affectionately named “Betti” and “Ronni”. The drones are tied directly into the building’s security and computer systems as well as control the first line of hidden scanners to clear visitors and potential threats. Should an hostile visitor appear, the drones enter defensive mode and the room is locked down, apprehending the threat in a non-hostile manner.

Guest Lounge - The second floor in the tower leads to the guest lounge. This is where the team can bring their guests, Non-Leaguers and Allies. It comes complete with a fully stocked bar, jukebox/music and view.

Recreation Room - The Rec Room is where the team goes to relax. Complete with a bar, pool tables, arcade games, pinball machines and large flat screen television, it’s the perfect place to unwind after particularly challenging missions. The bar is maintained by a service drone connected to the building’s computer and security systems, as well as the team’s AI, ARCHI. To access this floor, guests, non-Leaguers and Allies need temporary security clearance from ARCHI.

Library - On the same floor as the rec room, the library houses thousands of books, both for leisure and research purposes. There are multiple kiosks with access to ARCHI’s information bank should the need to cross reference research with current events arise.

Chairperson’s Office - The Protectors League are governed internally by a council of heroes formed within the team. The council is represented by the Chairperson, which is a position that rotates within the council and represents the team and automatically becomes a member of the Protectors Foundation board of directors. Currently, the heroine Proudstar serves as the Protectors League’s first Chairwoman. She can be found in her office buried under mountains of paperwork.

Monitor Room - The Monitor Room boasts state-of-the-art computers and tech that acts as a communications and observation center for the League. Talonknight can often be found here, along with ARCHI serving as mission control and command. The Monitor Room is linked to several satellites allowing for smooth mission coverage and communications.

Mystic's Research Room - The Mystic Research Room at The Bastion is a sanctuary for arcane study and magical exploration. This specialized chamber is filled with ancient tomes, enchanted artifacts, and mystical instruments, providing a comprehensive environment for the study of the supernatural. With its aura of quiet reverence and focused study, the Mystic Research Room is where the team unlocks secrets of the arcane, fortifies their defenses against mystical threats, and discovers new ways to wield magic in their mission to protect the world. The team's Arcane and Magic Specialists Ensorcelled and Samantha Grey can be found here conduction research and investigation on the League's more mystical cases.

Crime Laboratory - The Crime Lab houses some of the most advanced forensic and investigation technology and tools in the world allowing the League to conduct their investigative and scientific work ranging from autopsies and substance analysis to extraterrestrial breakdown and analysis. Thanks to the Protector Foundation’s connections, the crime computer has access to several governmental and institutional databases, including the FBSA, Interpol, UNMOCOM and the PPD among others.

The Vault - The Vault houses confiscated weapons, substances and other dangerous and wondrous objects acquired from the League’s adventures. The vault also acts as a trophy room for the Protectors League’s more memorable missions.

Medical Facility - The Bastion's medical facility is a cutting-edge healthcare center designed to provide top-tier medical care for The Protectors League. Equipped with advanced diagnostic and treatment technologies, it ensures rapid and effective care for injuries and illnesses.Staffed by highly advanced medical drones, the facility provides specialized treatments tailored to the League's unique needs, including those with otherworldly biology like Lady Vega and Bladewraith. This ensures all members remain in peak condition to protect the world.

Workshop - The workshop is a state-of-the-art fabrication and repair facility tailored for the League. Featuring advanced machinery and cutting-edge tools, it allows team members to design, build, and maintain their specialized equipment. Solomon Caine supplies the workshop with various enemy/confiscated technologies and weaponry to be reverse-engineered for R&D purposes.

Meeting Room - The meeting room is where the League strategizes and coordinates their operations. Equipped with advanced communication systems, holographic displays, and secure information networks, the Meeting room facilitates real-time decision-making and collaboration. Designed for maximum efficiency and security, the Meeting Room is the hub of planning for missions, allowing the team to respond swiftly to global threats and emergencies.

Rapid Response Room (Teleporters) - The Rapid Response Teleporters at The Bastion are advanced transportation systems designed to enable The Protectors League to deploy instantly to any global hotspot. Strategically integrated into the facility, the teleporters are crucial for maintaining the team's readiness and efficiency in safeguarding the world. Despite their efficiency and ability to bypass traditional travel constraints, the 'Porters require extensive financial and technological resources. Consequently, the team prefers to utilize the abilities of Ensorcelled or Samantha Grey when available, or they deploy the team's troop carrier, The Arbalest.

Armory and Shooting Range - The Bastion's Armory and Shooting Range is a comprehensive facility designed to equip and train The Protectors League. The armory houses a vast array of advanced, non-lethal weaponry and gear, meticulously maintained and readily accessible for any mission. Adjacent to it, the shooting range provides a secure environment for team members to hone their marksmanship and test new equipment, ensuring they are always prepared for combat situations. Citizen Thirteen and Aerohawk are often found in this area of the base honing their skills and relieving their stress.

Hangar A and B - The team’s Hangars house the ARBALEST series of aircrafts designed to transport the League to missions globally and offworld. The Hangars also house several interceptor type single manned aircraft called BOLTS and a helicopter for short-range deployments. The superheroine Raceway, leveraging her extensive background and expertise, is responsible for the maintenance and enhancements of the vehicles in the hangars. She is frequently found there with her German Shepherd companion, Grand. Protectors League ally Tidehunter and his royal photographer, Agent No, also spend considerable time in the hangars, assisting with the upkeep of the Arbalests and practicing on the aircraft's onboard flight simulator.

Team Living Quarters - Surrounded by a beautiful underwater view, the team quarters at the Bastion provide a comfortable and secure home for the League members who choose to reside there. Each room is a private suite equipped with modern amenities to ensure rest and relaxation between missions. Common areas include a communal lounge, kitchen, and recreational facilities (including a poker table), fostering a sense of community and camaraderie. Designed with both functionality and comfort in mind, the Living Quarters are a sanctuary where heroes can recharge and prepare for their next mission.

Monument Hall - Monument Hall is a grand walkway connecting the Living Quarters to the Training Facility at The Bastion, serving as a shrine to great heroes. Lined with statues, plaques, and memorabilia, it honors the legacy and valor of legendary protectors, inspiring current members of The Protectors League. This hallowed corridor not only commemorates past achievements but also fosters a deep sense of purpose and pride, reminding all who pass through of the noble mission they uphold.

Training Facility - The training facility is more than just a gymnasium; It’s a dynamic arena where the League members sculpt their body and minds for the rigors of heroism. Featuring a vast array of cutting edge exercise equipment that can accommodate even the League’s strongest members like Areus. Combat specialists like Big Mutt, Daydevil, and Samuraicon also hone their combat skills in the specialized combat ring (inspired by the MMA Octagon) and various other endurance and agility equipment like the lap pool, rock climbing wall, heavy duty treadmill and obstacle bars.

E.X.A.M. Room - The Enhanced eXercise and Ability Matrix, or E.X.A.M. room is designed to test the Protectors League and put them through their paces before they go on missions. OFFICIAL PROTECTORS LEAGUE MISSIONS

#1: A ROYAL DISASTER

The distress call came to The Protectors League from Victor Strazmir, Duke of Valenkia. His nephew, Prince Reynald, had been living incognito in Paragon City, studying at the University under a false identity, when rebels abducted him. As the league infiltrated the rebels' fortress, they realized a bitter truth: the Duke himself was the mastermind behind the scheme. Assuming the sinister moniker of the Duke of Delirium, he incapacitated the league and plotted to usurp the throne, intending to scapegoat the heroes for the Prince's disappearance. Yet, the Protectors broke free from the Duke's grip and swiftly thwarted his plans, averting potential catastrophe.

#2: TECTONIC TERROR

When an earthquake strikes San Ignacio, triggering a long-dormant volcano's eruption, the Protectors League rushes to rescue the island's residents and unravel the mystery behind the cataclysm. To their surprise, they encounter Dr. Techtonic, a decades long missing geologist turned supervillain, who boasts of his plan for world domination. With his army of subterranean mole-men, he launches an assault on the league. However, the heroes unite and defeat Dr. Techtonic, compelling him to retreat underground. Meanwhile, they activate specialized tectonic explosives to mitigate the impending eruption. Once more, the Protectors League saves the day.

#3: LAW OF THE JUNGLE

Summoned to monitor a high-priority target, the Protectors League arrives too late as the Primal Revolution, led by Primehate and Baboom, abducts the doctor from an ancient Zythraxian dig-site in Wamemaliza, Africa. Pursuing in their transport, the Arbalest, the team is attacked by Pterosaurs, crash-landing in a hidden, mystical island which time forgot: the Primal Lands! There, they uncover Primehate's scheme to command a dinosaur army for global domination. But as they forge alliances with the reluctant Terrorsaurs of Primehate's army, the league unites to thwart the ape revolution and save the day!

#4: FROSTBITE FRENZY

As their reputation as a force for good grew, the Protectors League were summoned by their new PPD liaison, Detective Helen Carr to apprehend the villain Chillmonger. Chillmonger had broken out of the Zig, and had taken over an old office building in Brickstown, demanding he be given a laboratory and be left alone. Meanwhile, he had stolen and activated a Crey device called the Particle Manipulator which brought on an unbearable winter in Paragon City. The League quickly assembled and apprehended Chillmonger, effectively putting a stop to his plans.

#5: CRIME OF FASHION

After a quiet week, the Protectors League are called upon by Detective Helen Carr to assist the PPD with a series of heists and robberies across Paragon City by a new group of supervillains calling themselves The Bare Necessity Society, who's calling card is their lack of clothes and disdain for the fashion industry. As the mission progressed, what started off as typical criminal activity unraveled a larger plot. Led by Au Naturale, a once up and coming designer turned supervillain, the BNS built a fusion bomb dubbed the "NU-D3 Bomb" that would wipe out all fabrics, materials and clothes caught in it's blast radius. The Protectors League worked quickly, and successfully put a stop to the Bare Necessity Society's plans, keeping Paragon safe and clothed.

#6: GALACTIC GLADIATORS

The heroine and current chairwoman of the Protectors League, Proudstar, is challenged by the alien warlord T'Leia Moonbane known throughout the galaxy as Battlebane for Earth's freedom. Proudstar and the League are issued an ultimatum: defeat Battlebane in one v one combat or surrender Earth to the "Empire", a coalition of alien warlords seeking to expand their influence across the universe. The League boards her ship, the Dreadnaught, only to find veteran hero and missing teammate Cosmic aboard as one of Battlebane's slaves, unable to recognize his friends and teammates. After a emotional reunion, an enraged Proudstar stepped into a packed alien arena to face Battlebane, quickly gaining the upper hand in combat. But as she was about to deliver the finishing blow, the slaves aboard the Dreadnaught initiated their rebellion throwing the entire ship into chaos. It turns out Cosmic had led several rebellions in the past before succumbing to brainwashing to mitigate future attempts. Luckily, the friends he made aboard his time on the Dreadnaught, Princess Zenya Katan and Karis Ambrail snaps him out of his trance, and he takes command of the rebellion resulting in the slaves taking over the Dreadnaught. In a last ditch effort to save her pride and complete her mission, Battlebane takes her remaining forces to Earth and proceeds to plant beacons to call in the other warlords of the Empire. The Protectors League rush to Earth and thwart her efforts, with Proudstar and Battlebane finishing off their earlier confrontation, Proudstar emerging victorious. After the battle, Cosmic officially joins the League and the team is in high spirits, adding to their growing reputation as Earth’s Ultimate Protectors.

#7: BACTERIAL BATTLEGROUNDS

After fighting off Battlebane's invaders the week before, Rocket Robyn is struck down by a mysterious illness. The team's medical unit scrambles to stabilize the ailing Robyn, and discover that the invaders had infected her with an alien bacteria that quickly evolved into a parasite. Unable to come up with a cure, Talonknight uses the Protectors Foundation's network to send out samples and data of the parasite in the hopes of finding a cure. After two unsuccessful interventions, one of the world's leading scientists Dr. JK Pyeong aka The Nanonaut comes up with a cure to get rid of the parasites but only a small, limited dose. The Doctor suggests a more "aggressive" approach: shrinking down and dispersing the cure via the heart's blood flow, working in tandem with earlier interventions. The League shrinks down, and is successful in their operation, saving Robyn in the nick of time.

#8: DEJA VU DILEMMA

The Protectors League are approached by a mysterious “Mender” to assist with a perceived chronal anomaly that’s to take place at the grand opening of the Creed Industries Alternative Power Plant. The League makes their way to the facility, only to be confronted by The Clockbender, a time traveller claiming to be helping humanity by assassinating Dr Sandsmark, the scientist responsible for developing the plant’s energy source. After the League thwarts the assassination attempt, they find themselves transported back to the start of the day, over and over again, each time Clockbender getting closer and closer to his objective, with more advanced tech each time around. In a stroke of luck, Clockbender’s temporal device is damaged, and he fails his objective and the Protectors League is freed from the time loop. The team is relieved to be out of the loop, but is cautious of what Dr Sandsmark and the future may bring..

#9: ZYTHRAXIAN 101 (PART ONE OF THE ZYTHRAXIAN SAGA)

The Protectors League are summoned to one of Tidehunter's research facilities under Independence Port. There, they meet Akhelios, Chief Scientist of the Union and Head of the Zythraxian Research Facility. Akhelios fills the League in on his team's most recent findings on the Zythraxians: a shape-shifting race of aliens seeking to take over the world since the dawn of history. As the Protectors League is learning about the aliens and the threat they pose, the facility is infiltrated by a Zythraxian spy, stealing key medical records, belonging to known hybrid agents. Luckily, Akhelios was already able to develop a special allergen that when comes into contact with Zythraxian DNA causes a reaction, rousing them from their disguise. The League races across Independence Port and tracks the changeling to a warehouse. They lay the egg-shaped dispersal device around the warehouse, exposing the entire building and those inside with the allergen. The changeling is found with an extraction team of Zythraxian soldiers. After a skirmish, the spy is apprehended (not before warning the Protectors League of the "Prince's" arrival), but the PPD on-site turn out to be Zythraxians also, their disguises dropping when exposed to the lingering allergen particles in the building. After fighting their way out, and securing the missing data, the team regroups at the Bastion, formulating a plan to expose the aliens already in their midst.

#10: ZYTHRAXIAN 101 (PART TWO OF THE ZYTHRAXIAN SAGA)

As the team infiltrated the ship, they were met with a surprise: Dominus Corvax, a Zythraxian General and the leader of Earth's invasion set a trap for them. Luckily, the team was able to recover the Omnibox artifact. With the station set to self-destruct, the team fought their way out while Dr. Lemure secured the ship's data, which includes traces of the Dominus' invasion plans. Once again a step behind, the League now prepares and plans, waiting for the Dominus to make his move..

#11: LEND ME YOUR FEARS

#12: ENTER THE DRAGONBLADE

A battle in the bunker ensues, reopening old wounds and revealing discoveries about Samuraicon's past. After their attempt to crush the Protectors League fails, Dragonblade activates her LEVIATHAN MK-1 mech to storm the beaches of the Rogue Isles. Chaos erupts, and the Protectors League find themselves caught in the middle, but they manage to quell the threat of both sides. Making a hasty retreat, Dragonblade and TIAMAT vow that this is not the last the Protectors League will see of them.

#13: HOUSE OF CARDS

When a maid from one of the world’s most exclusive membership clubs - Providence Society - witnesses something they shouldn’t have, TalonKnight intervenes to save her life and brings the Protectors League in to investigate any sinister happenings within the club.

After a heated confrontation with which Ensorcelled and Nitroburst overwhelmed Miles, the team manages to escape into the sewers with the Aces of the Suits in pursuit, unable to teleport due to some sort of magical interference. Finally reaching the surface after fighting off the Aces, the team regroups, now wary of the philanthropy and goodwill that the Providence Society once stood for.
