Backstory

King Priam of Troy sought to bring an alliance between his home and Cimerora. As a gesture of goodwill, he sent his daughter, Cassandra, to speak on her father's behalf. Due to her naturally strong intuition, she became a Sybil and worked under Sister Solaris' tutelage. Word spread about the princess of Troy in Cimerora and it brought the attention of Apollo himself.

Immediately, he fell in love with Cassandra's beauty and kindness. He sought her out every day and recalled tales of his greatest deeds to the auburn maiden. Then, one day, when she sat by the sea, Apollo appeared before her and bestowed her with two precious gifts; Apollo's Foresight and Apollo's Tarot.

Apollo's Foresight was simple silk that could change into any outfit of the wearer's choice and Apollo's Tarot is intricate linked to his foresight. Together, they could allow Cassandra and her bloodline see the past and future with perfect accuracy, boosting her intuition to heights that surpass Solaris herself. With these gifts, he'd guide her for three years before meeting her again in the same spot where as he would bestow his final gift; his hand in marriage.

While Apollo loved her, she did not but Cassandra didn't have the heart to tell him the truth. So she accepted his gift and became one of the most powerful Sybils in Cimerora.

Three years later, Apollo appears by the sea and awaits for his beloved to appear. When she did not approach, he sought her out and found her with another man; Ajax. Heartbroken and enraged, Apollo could not take back his gifts but he could modify the blessings instead. While Cassandra would have powerful and accurate visions of the future, he added a curse; for every accurate vision brought falsehoods and no man would believe in Cassandra's word.

Soon, she received word from her father that Cassandra was needed back in Troy. She returned home with Ajax, with her gaining a powerful vision on the boat; Strange alien beings that stood with Romulus Augutus and set fire to the city of Troy. It would meet a terrible end to ensure that Romulus' conquest of Cimerora would lay uninterrupted. Cassandra tried to warn her father but neither he nor his council would believe her until it was too late.

Troy would fall and Cassandra was met with a terrible end.

With Cassandra's death, her children inherited her gifts. One by one, they became powerful seers but no one heeded their words. It became so bad that one fortune teller tossed Apollo's Foresight into the sea. She prayed that it could never be found, purging its curse from the family line. His foresight and his tarot were forgotten along with their family lineage, leading to the Romano-Kato family.

Lucille inherited her ancestor's intuition, able to weave predictions of outcomes that not even Arachnos' own could foresee. The organization wanted her in the Fortunata program but she refused. Her ability was too great to take 'no' for an answer. While her husband sacrificed himself to protect his wife, Arachnos could not be deter from trying to reach her. With no other choice, Lucille fled and found herself in caverns. Only a faint whisper in the back of her mind guided her path.

Then, Lucille finds it; Apollo's Foresight. With its rightful master in sight, the cloth wraps around and and Lucille could see everything. The sudden flood of different possibilities of her own self flooded her mind and nearly snaps her sanity. Her eyesight was stolen from her, replaced with the Eyes of the Oracle. When she emerged from the cavern depths, hundreds were erased overnight from Lucille's newfound power.

And in her grief did she come with a new name;

Dominatriea.

Lucille used to be a compassionate young woman who didn't always believe what the tarot cards told her. Unlike her previous ancestors, she didn't believe the future was absolute. It could be changed and the cards were nothing but a means to guide people to the right path. Just because one saw the future, didn't mean it was set in stone. She used to try to help guide those in need, to either prevent a bad future or to help create a better one. That was the the path of a fortune teller and one she took to heart.

Then, she gained Apollo's Foresight and everything changed.

Her ability to see the exact precise future as well as the past warped her senses and robbed her eyesight. She became cynical, believing in absolutes and that heroism is nothing but a lie. She was angry and wanting to erase heroes as a whole. She joined the United Underworld, using her foresight and time magic to try to erase those she deemed unworthy of existence. Her plot failed though and she was ridiculed by the other United Underworld members. Since that day, she's changed.

Dominatriea tries to cling to the belief in absolutes but since regaining her memories, her hatred has dimmed. Her passion for villainy just isn't there anymore. She isn't sure to whether to keep to her destructive path or to consider a better one. Lucille won't admit it but she carries guilt for what she's done and doesn't believe someone like her deserves to be saved. A villain such as herself deserves retribution or so Lucille believes. She indulges in the simple pleasures simply because it helps keep the nagging guilt from crushing her entirely. Several betrayals in the past has also pushed Lucille to limit who she trusts and isn't far from betraying others in turn. If anyone earns her loyalty and trust, she's willing to lower her guard to show her real self; a guilt-driven woman trapped with a power she doesn't understand.

Despite this, she's been happy to interfere with anything that sparks her interest or for the sake of chaos. Most of the time, Lucille's bored and finds no meaning to her own existence or why she has her power to begin with. She offers her services to heroes and villains alike with the payment of tea or sweets. Money has no value to her yet gold and silver do.

Little does she know that Lucille has no idea what her bloodline is or what the coat that's bound to her really is.

• Enhanced Intuition: Even without Apollo's Foresight, Lucille had a strong sense of the future through her tarot deck. It was in Cassandra's blood, protecting those from all kinds of situations.

• Apollo's Foresight: simple silks imbued with the power of Apollo's prophecies, it can take shape of any kind of clothing that the wearer desires. It grants the wearer the power to manipulate time itself, hands able to weave through the strings of time. With the right rituals, one could even erase parts of history or people entirely...

• Eyes of the Oracle: When Apollo's Foresight and Tarot together, it grants the beholder the eyes to see both past and future without end. It robbed Lucille her eyesight as a result, forever unable to see the present for what it is. This is the only thing untouched by Apollo's curse; a gift of unknown origin to any bloodline of Cassandra that wields both artifacts. It was this gift that caused her ancestors to throw Apollo's Foresight into the sea, hoping to save future generations from this gift.

• Time Manipulation:: Through magic of her coat or through her tarot deck, she's able to rewind or fast forward time. Lucille is able to freeze time in place for either the person or the world around her for up to ten minutes. Anything longer requires a large source of magic for her to be able to pull such a feat. Those with a powerful will that can transcend fate are able to resist Dominatriea's hold of them.

• Apollo's Tarot Deck: Connected through Apollo's Foresight, the tarot deck is also able to allow Dominatriea to read into someone's future safely but this can lead to varies degrees of success due to Apollo's curse. They are also an extension to Dominatriea's will. They can cast her spells without requiring Lucille to do it herself from illusions to manipulating time itself.

• Illusion Magic: A trickster by trade, she loves to make up illusions of herself or manipulate the light through magic. Her illusions, both visual and audible, are her means to deceive the field while the real Dominatriea is able to move freely.

• Astral Projection: From her own pocket dimension, Dominatriea can project herself onto Primal Earth to act as her stead. This is only used should Lucille either feel threatened or is injured to a point that she's unable to act on her own.

• Golden Pistol: If all else fails and she has no choice, one of the trick's up her sleeve is stopping time and firing bullets bullet at close range. Sometimes, when magic can't do the job, a gun will.

Weaknesses

• Apollo's Curse: Cassandra led Apollo on and broke his heart, leading a curse on the artifact that Dominatriea wears. For every prophecy foretold, comes a false future with it. Even should she speak the true prophecy, there's a chance that none would believe her word. Not realizing the curse exists, Dominatriea has worked around this by using her prophecies for her own gain or simply just using her tarot deck to act in her stead. If the people won't listen to her predictions then perhaps she will simply fix it herself.

• Blindness: With the 'Eyes of the Oracle', Lucille is blind. She cannot see the present and risks losing her mind with every vision. For this reason, Dominatriea must wear her mask; one of lavender and gold with an enchantment to project the present for her. Without it, she'd lose herself.

• Cassandra's Bloodline: The only way for Lucille to be free of the burden of Apollo's Foresight, she must have an heir with her blood in order to be able to relinquish its power to another. She's desired to be free of her burdens for a long time but without a child, she's stuck in a loop until she's able to have one.

• Partial Amnesia: The immense power of such fortunes did far more damage to Lucille's mind then anyone could have anticipated. It's led her to forget the present as well as her own past; forgetting her own daughter though magics beyond her have led her to this point. It took a long time for her to even recover the name of her deceased husband and that she was with child, once, long ago. Continued fortune telling also leads her to slowly forget herself and needs constant reminders about herself in order to not forget.

• Foresight Aftereffects: There is a huge toll on her body every time she weaves her sight through time to predict the future or envision the past. Leaving her permanently blind, it's also led her to have massive headaches to the point she's forced to spend days to recover. Lucille will partially lie and say the only reason she can't go beyond ten minutes is because she needs a lot more magic to perform it. While true, Lucille's more than capable. The only reason she doesn't is because of how much it hurts and the massive toll it puts on her mind and body.

Nemeses

• Ouroboros: They have been trying to hunt Dominatriea down for a very long time but she's evaded them through her own devious tricks. It's said that the only reason they want to stop her is for her to stop messing with the timeline. In truth, the inner circle knows the truth about Lucille's gifts and hope to remove the curse so they can use her to advert the Coming Storm.

• Longbow: Ever since her big stunt with the United Underworld, Longbow has been trying to hunt her down for her crimes of attempting to erase heroes from existence. She's been eluding capture and even if she's earned amnesty from Vanguard in her assistance against the Rikti, they are one of the organizations who continue to hunt her down.

• Arachnos: They are aware of Dominatriea's bloodline and the potential she could have if she were to become one of its many Seers. Her husband died protecting her from them and with Dominatriea's regained memory of her past, she's made an extra effort to make sure they pay for what they've done. While considered as one of the many Destined Ones, Dominatriea has never held any interest for such a title or for Lord Recluse's ideals either.
