History

Tobiro Yamashiro was a brilliant and well-known scientist and roboticist in Japan, along with his wife Ashiko and his older brother Toshiro. Tobiro and Ashiko had a young daughter named Tama, but Ashiko died after she was born. Tama was raised by her father and her uncle. Incredibly bright like her parents, yet a bit of rebellious, she designed inventions had a tendency to malfunction, but she was always determined to succeed.

One day, Tobiro was about to unveil a top-secret invention at a tech expo in Toyko with Toshiro. But his bosses only said yes, if Tama was not involved, despite her crucial help on the invention: Together they had created a device called the "Golden Heart Core": a power supply which could allow machines/robots to understand morality and emotions, especially with Tobiro and Toshiro's previous creation: The Patrol-Bot, a robotic patrol drone with a small, non-threatening frame. The Golden Heart Core was to be used on the Patrol-Bot during the presentation.

Tama had helped design the failsafe procedure in case anything went wrong with the Core. But Tobiro's bosses were rather hesitant to include her in the presentation, due to her streak. Tobiro had no choice but to obey, and told Tama to stay behind, despite her wanting to show her father her own creation as a surprise. She was secretly hurt by having to stay, but despite her father's wishes, she had secretly followed her father and uncle to the expo without them knowing. As soon as the presentation was underway, a group of highly armed thugs broke in and attempted to steal from the expo and observed the "GHC" and attempted to steal it, but security had quickly intervened and a massive shootout took place when the thugs tried to shoot Tobiro, and in the chaos Tama was shot and killed while trying to get to her father to help him. Tobiro was able to successfully secure the Golden Heart Core and had noticed Tama lying dead and was deeply heartbroken. He also tried to find Toshiro, only for him to have died in an explosion set off by the thugs.

Now having lost his daughter and brother in the same day, Tobiro was at a loss for what to do next and was unsure of what to do. He returned to his lab and had noticed Tama's secret project: A Computronic Brain, a superfast computer system that was faster than a supercomputer. It also had Tama's own personality programmed into it for the AI, along with her own brainwaves and memories, logged up until the day of the expo.

And with a dangerous and risky plan, Tobiro decided to use the Patrol-Bot Frame, the Golden Heart Core, and the Computronic Brain to rebuild Tama, and he indeed succeeded, by creating Zetagirl. She had originally believed herself to be the real Tama Yamashiro, up until her father/creator mysteriously vanished on a business trip to the United States.

Now she's a on a mission, to find her father/creator and save him.
