Once Upon a Time a fairy king and human queen had an affair.  This resulted in the birth of a hybrid child, a girl.  To protect the child she would be sent to live with her grandmother in a secluded forest.  The child grew and lacked companionship, so she sought her own company with the creatures of the forest and nature itself.
Once upon a time a fae child was born in the realm of humans.  The girl was gifted to her grandmother so that her parents could return to the fairy dimension to battle a dark uprising within the fairy world.  To keep the child safe from the darkness her parents stripped her of her magic and locked her powers away in her mothers spellbook. To keep the magic safe the spellbook was disguised as a book of fairytales.  The girl’s parent’s returned to the fairy world and sealed it off from the human world to contain the darkness.
As the child grew so did the grandmother’s resentment towards the child for forcing her to live a life of exile.  When the grandmother attempted to assassinate the child the girl summoned the biggest baddest wolf to defend herself.  The big bad wolf ate the malicious grandmother and the child herself disappeared into the woods.  Throughout history stories of said child would re-emerge through tales of a girl living with dwarves, a debutante who draws the mire of an eligible bachelor prince leaving only a glass slipper behind, the beauty who could tame beasts, the girl who disappeared through the looking glass into her own imagination and creation of a pocket dimension, the goose feather clad Valkyrie who would mother an army, the half fish woman (mermaid as some wolf call them) who went in search of the lost city of Atlantis with the use of artifacts and enchanted items that allowed her travel and breathe through the ocean waters, to a beauty that would slumber an eternal rest to restore her magic and rejuvenate her extended lifespan.


Awake from her slumber, the girl awoke in the age of heroes and has made her way to Paragon City.  Under a new identity of Story Novella.  A librarian for Paragon University and a member of the Midnighters Club, Story now uses her ability to speak and command animals and nature to fight crime as the heroine Fairy Tales.  Story would be sought out by the heroine Conscience a.k.a. Headmistress Strife of the Paragon Prep Academy to serve as the schools librarian and mission architect for training simulations for training the heroes of tomorrow.  When the headmistress’s devil would take over and invite villain students into the school leading to a war and the Des traction of the academy, Story and other faculty would be pivotal in leading the hero students to victory and see to the demise of Conscience’s devil half.  In the aftermath of Paragon Prep’s demise it would be Story that backs the former headmistress’s path towards redemption.
The fae child named Story Novella was raised by her grandmother in the world of humans.  As the child aged she discovered the book of fairytales left by her parents.  When she began reading she found she could enter the stories and recover her lost magic.
