Stephen Fy here with The greatest sports broadcasting show ever! This is “WHO ARE THEY” where we turn back the dial and spill the beans of those that we remember in the amazing sport of mixed Martial arts. Let's start with his early life, when Chainz was interviewed about his family and his roots he just laughed. “Ah grew up in an alleyway in Kings row. Ah only had a gang of kids as mah family and when the social workers came to take me away the clockwork took care of me. The clock work kept us kids around I think because we would help them with things but they neva let anyone come near us.” When asked about later on he just shrugged and smiled again to the interviewer while saying “I think ah grew up fine .. left the kids gang and hooked up with a group of bikers.. Yanno learned to tat a bit got some ink made some real family”

Asking about his fighting Career Chainz would lighten up and laugh a bit shaking his head “Ma first fight I went against a guy named Rocky Tommy Bones. I got my ass handed to me. Rocky beat me down and nearly ended my career before it started.” Listeners will remember that it was discovered that Tommy bones was actually a super and lied about that in his application. “Afta my first fight I trained hard and worked up and that's when I got the motto I carry today.. Don't bow don't stop don't step back. If you can't push forward then run through”. And he took the MMA world by storm by amassing an impressive 15 fight winning streak all with knockouts and winning the Titan championship with only 2 years of fighting. It was around that time that the Atlas park Championship started coming up and rumors were running that Chainz would not enter. Well as you all might remember Mark not only entered but dominated the competition aside from the finals where he narrowly won by decision against The Hammer. “Oh yeah I remember that fight the guy was not a super but he was close. Absolutely a beast that guy hit like a truck and damn near dropped me in the first round with a right hook. People tell me they watch that fight all the time. It was not technical it was just me and him duking it out.. Cool cat though can't drink worth a shit”

After the Mr. Atlas park championship Mark dropped off the mainstream radar but I happen to know that he went into the more underground matches. These cage fights usually had supers fighting regular guys much to the crowds delight. Though illegal many of the fights are still able to be seen on the internet. I have gotten my hands on a rare interview tape from those days from Chainz talking about his recent victory over a predominant super hero who was known for his savage and brutal style of justice. His name is removed so that we don't defame this hero. “Sorry I am still a bit woozy but yeah I am shocked as well, when I heard I was going again (blanked out) I was kinda shocked. Everyone knows his rep and I was laughing thinking that well.. The moneys good may as well see what happens. The first round was alright.. I mean yeah the guy hits like a truck and I had to move a lot but I was ok.. The second round I figured that he was running outta gas. The thing about some of these supers is they are used to guys folding afta one hit.. Got not stamina. But yeah second round when I got my chain around him I knew it was over.. He beat me down pretty good but.. Never count me out.”

Today Mark is the owner and operator of the popular strip club casino and bar called Jokers Wild and still enjoys fighting and having fun each and every day. When asked recently about a return to the cages he just laughed and looked around. “Ah fight when i wanna now none tell me what ta do .. I got my family here at JW and my woman in my arms.. I choose my fights now”
We here at MMA news wish him the best of luck and will always remember the name of Mark “Chainz” Rogers a true story of rising from nothing to greatness.
