As the final incantation left her lips, a wave of necrotic energy erupted, killing her instantly while spreading outward, raising the dead across the city. Paragon City's heroes rushed to contain the outbreak, sealing Kings Row behind War Walls and battling the hordes of undead. At the epicenter, they discovered Sasha’s lifeless body, an ancient grimoire, and a brass cage—her phylactery. Her body was taken to Crowne Memorial Hospital, while the phylactery was stored in MAGI's vaults.
