Sebastian Hart always had trouble sitting still. Even as a toddler, he was always on the move, having learnt to walk at an unusually young age. After one of his elementary school teachers informed his mother that Sebastian frequently had trouble paying attention in class, she suggested medication to treat the problem. Instead of investigating any further, his parents simply took him to a doctor, who promptly provided a prescription for ADHD. What followed was a too ordinary upbringing in an entirely too ordinary high school in an ordinary town just thirty miles from one of the most extraordinary cities in the world. Yet Sebastian was stuck in his small town, yearning for something more. Luckily, he was pretty smart. And he used those smarts to punch his ticket out of nowheresville.

Interning for a brilliant physicist proved far more exciting than he had ever expected however. Dr. Trent Warner specialized in the study of kinetic energy and its applications. Passionate, curious, idealistic, and good-natured, Dr. Warner was an all around good guy. Sebastian admired him a great deal. So when he discovered his boss was secretly developing next generation weapons for an nefarious mercenary outfit in a secret lab underneath the campus, it was kind of a bummer.

Sebastian happened to be staying late when the professor and his "benefactors" entered the lab. Following and listening in on their negotiations, Sebastian learned the truth. Fabricating weapons that fired concussive bolts that pick up kinetic energy after they're discharged; the farther they travel, the harder they hit. When Sebastian tripped over a broom and accidently revealed himself, the lead mercenary decided to test his merchandise on the spot, despite Dr. Warner's objections, shooting Sebastian in the chest.

Miraculously, he survived, waking up in the hospital after a remorseful Dr. Warner rescued him before fleeing. Making his way home afterward, Sebastian was almost hit by a bus after absentmindedly stepping into traffic. To his surprise, the bus halted just a few inches from him. Even stranger, the world slowed around him while he moved. Through experimentation, Sebastian discovered that the energy bolt that struck him had granted him the ability to absorb kinetic energy and move at superhuman speeds. A lifelong fan of superheroes, Sebastian decided to become a superhero, helping out whoever he could.

Kinetic Absorption: Through a field of unknown energy surrounding his body, Sebastian is able to absorb and "steal" the kinetic energy from any object in motion, adding its speed to his own. Bullets and other projectiles lose all momentum when reaching a one foot radius of Sebastian.

Super Speed: Sebastian is capable of moving at incredible superhuman speeds. He can run, move and react at speeds far greater than the average human. At his slowest, he is fast enough to pluck arrows out of the sky, dodge bullets, and cyclone-like gusts of wind by circling his arms repeatedly. The more energy he absorbs, the faster he can move.

If Sebastian had to be summed up in a word, it would have to be frenetic. Even before he became the supercharged speedster known as Nonstop, Sebastian had trouble sitting still. There are few photos of Sebastian as a kid in which he's in focus. His teachers took note of his short attention span and assumed he had some sort of disorder when in reality, they just bored him. He craved excitement. As he grew, this yearning for action morphed into a wanderlust for adventure. Explosive excitement/energy/sugar levels keep him in a constant state of vibration.

• You Fight Like a Cow - Sebastian uses witty banter in combat situations to keep the bad guys unfocused and on edge.

• Attention Deficit... Ooh, Shiny! - As a child, Sebastian dealt with this, struggling to keep his head out of the clouds.

• Motor Mouth - Because of his abilities, sometimes Sebastian has a habit at talking a mile a minute.

• Fun Personified He's always on the thrill-seeking side of superheroics and isn't afraid of showing how much he enjoys having superpowers.

Nonstarter — A powered but listless young lady Sebastian met through a mutual friend, he made it his personal mission to motivate her to use her gifts for something, anything. Eventually, through his unending prodding, he managed to rope her into heroics, even forming a group of costumed adventurers. He might have a crush on her.
