Biography
Early Life
Lilly Halphen was born in the seaside town of Whitby, North Yorkshire, England. Growing up she stood out amongst her classmates in both sports (volleyball, swimming and gymnastics) and academically. When it was determined that she was a mutant in her teens she continued training with her teammates, but was no longer allowed to compete.
Whitby Goth Weekend
Founded in 1994, the Whitby Goth Weekend has been held twice a year since 1997. Being naturally pale skinned, Lilly was drawn into the Goth culture by the festival. She still makes room in her schedule to attend at least one on the events every year.
The Queen of Low Budget Action Movies
Taking on the stage name Delilah Halphen, she is known for her roles in several low-budget action movies. Delilah's ability to do her own stunts was a determining factor in many a casting directors choice in using her. She earned her first on screen role for a brief appearance in "Lord of the Death Dance", which was filmed during the Whitby Goth Weekend when she was sixteen.
Breakthrough as Lady Death
Delilah's breakthrough role came when she was cast as Lady Death in the cult classic "Death Dolls 3000." The film centered around a post-apocalyptic world ruled by a gang of deadly female assassins. Delilah's portrayal of the ruthless and alluring Lady Death earned her considerable praise from audiences, earning her a loyal following among fans of the genre. Critics, however, questioned her being credited as doing her own stunt work.
Penthouse Purgatory and Critical Acclaim
Following the success of "Death Dolls 3000," Delilah was cast as Shelly in the psychological thriller "Penthouse Purgatory", a role that showcased her versatility as an actress. In this film, she portrayed a conflicted woman entangled in a web of suspense and deception. Critics praised Delilah's ability to add depth and emotional nuance to the character, but again questioned her ability to do her own stunts.
Mr. Schlecht's Office
Her portrayal of Polly in the action-comedy "Mr. Schlecht's Office." In this offbeat film, Delilah demonstrated her comedic timing and ability to seamlessly blend humor with action. The film gained a cult following and further solidified her position as an actress with an uncanny knack for selecting unconventional yet engaging projects.
Paragon City
After establishing her name as an actress, Delilah Halphen's career took an unexpected turn. Fueled by a desire to silence those who questioned her ability to perform her own stunts, she decided to embrace a new challenge: becoming a real-life superhero. In a move that surprised many, she headed to Paragon City, Rhode Island, to embark on a journey that would test her physical prowess and determination.
