Magical Girls are not just witches or sorceresses, but are usually-unpowered people who go through a magical transformation to gain their powers to fight crime, usually with stock footage of an extended transformation sequence. Their powers tend to be emotion based, and they usually have useful magical weapons, tools, or abilities. Note: can also include magical boys.
