Trapped beneath rubble, Peter experienced his powers manifest for the first time as his panic and desperation triggered an instinctive reaction—he shifted the very earth around him to escape. Terrified and confused, he kept this power a secret for years, believing that if he revealed it, he would be ostracized. The destruction left scars on his psyche, making him painfully aware of how fragile the world can be and instilling a lifelong fear of losing control.
